The attraction building was designed to look like the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The lobby contains various articles of movie memorabilia. After viewing selected movie trailers in the queue area, you will board a ride vehicle, in front of a painted backdrop of Hollywood. You will then be taken on a ride through different scenes of memorable films.

Overview
Travel behind the silver screen in a 22 minute journey, as you witness great movie moments brought to life. Board a tram to ride through classic scenes featuring legends of motion picture history.

Location
This 1989 attraction, which covers a total of 95,000 square feet, is situated at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, inside a reproduction of the world-famous Graumann's Chinese Theatre. Outside of the theatre you can see hand, foot and even paw prints of Disney stars and characters.

Queuing
Since this ride is located very near to the parade route, it is often busy immediately following the afternoon parade. Good times to visit the attraction are early morning, late evening, or before or during the parade. Often the line extends outside of the theatre, and the inside part of the queue lasts a further 25 minutes.

Once inside the theatre, you'll see a series of genuine movie props, such as a carousel horse from Mary Poppins and costumes from Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. You'll also be shown a series of classic movie trailers, which are projected on to a cinema-style screen.

Great Movie Ride
You'll board a 70-seater tram, and be introduced to your tour guide, before beginning a fascinating journey through a series of famous movie scenes. There truly is something for everyone, incorporating gangsters, musicals, horror and romance. Almost 60 Audio-Animatronic actors help bring the scenes to life, including Julie Andrews, John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart and many more. Who knows...you may even join in the scene yourself!

At the end of the tour, you'll be shown a montage of famous movie scenes ranging from Snow White to Chicago.

Additional Information
Several scenes in this attraction, in particular the scene from Alien, are dark, intense and may be frightening for young children.

In the Raiders of the Lost Ark scene if you look closely at the hieroglyphics, you'll find Mickey and Donald eating lunch.

This attraction is wheelchair accessible.

This ride is designed to be 'hijacked' midway, by either a gangster or a cowboy. On quieter days, it is likely that only the gangster part will run.

As this ride is a tour, your enjoyment of it will depend on the enthusiasm of your guide.
