Experience both power and playfulness during your personal swim with a bottlenose dolphin. It's the centerpiece of your visit, but that’s just the beginning.

Feel a unique mix of both calm and adventure as you snorkel among thousands of rays and exotic fish, and explore the splendor of coral reefs and grottos. Then, enter a series of free-flight aviaries where you can touch, feed and interact with hundreds of colorful tropical birds.

Attractions

inline imageDolphin Swim
Discovery Cove’s celebrated Dolphin Swim is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you and your family to make a connection with these truly remarkable creatures.

The Dolphin Swim gives you a chance to talk, touch, play and swim with the gentle and exquisite bottlenose dolphins. Discovery Cove is home to 35 of these amazing marine mammals. The Dolphin Swim begins with an interactive orientation in the secluded cabanas which includes a brief video presentation on dolphin characteristics, how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with your dolphin and various safety guidelines.

Next, you and your group of 6-8 guests head to the quaint Dolphin Lagoon where you’ll wade into the shallow turquoise waters to start your exclusive dolphin experience. Here, you will meet and play with a dolphin for 30 minutes, getting to know each other through hugs, kisses, rubdowns and, ultimately, a one-on-one swim together through the lagoon.

inline imageRay Lagoon
Submerge yourself in the secluded, majestic Ray Lagoon for some personal interaction with rays, surprisingly gentle creatures.

Prepare yourself for an astonishing opportunity to snorkel, wade and play with dozens of southern and cow-nose rays. Some of these peaceful animals can grow up to 4 feet in diameter and, unexpectedly, feel velvety to the touch.

inline imageCoral Reef
Become part of an entirely new universe where giant rays and thousands of tropical fish swim along with you.

Immerse yourself in Discovery Cove’s unique coral reef for a swim you won’t soon forget. Here, you can snorkel through the expansive colorful reefs, shipwreck remains and enchanting grottos. Spend as much time as you desire coming face-to-face with countless species of exotic fish, staring into the enormous eyes of giant rays and even catching a glimpse of shark and barracuda as they swim safely behind protective glass.

inline imageAviary
Towering high above water and land, Discovery Cove’s Aviary is home to more than 30 species of birds for you to mingle with, talk to, touch and even feed!

One of the most remarkable discoveries at Discovery Cove is that part of your day interacting with the wonderful wildlife can take place on land, too! The free-flight aviary is a hidden treasure just waiting for you to unearth. Feast your eyes on more than 250 tropical birds as you snake your way through stone catacombs, over bridges and across rivers bordering this sprawling oasis. Accessible through the Tropical River’s magnificent waterfalls or by way of the Discovery Cove beaches, you will marvel as colorful birds dine from your open palm.

inline imageTropical River Swim
Take a leisurely stroll, Discovery Cove style. As you drift along the crystal clear tropical river, make an intimate re-connection with nature, your family and someone you may have forgotten… you.

Relax the day away in the invitingly warm, freshwater tropical river as you wind your way through a variety of extraordinary Discovery Cove landscapes. Stop off to dig your toes into the soft sand of the sunny island beach. Absorb the sights and sounds as you float past the dense rainforest. Enjoy the echoes of laughter you and your family create as you enter an underwater cave. Soak in water cascades as you go through rocky waterfalls. Visit the interactive aviary for a wildly amazing tour. Or, just chill out in the freshwater lagoon.

inline imageResort Pool
The Resort Pool is maintained at a refreshing 80 degrees year round. Whether relaxing in this oversized freshwater pool or practicing your snorkeling skills, the Resort Pool is full of sparkling clear blue water that is both calming and serene.

You may want to soak up the sun and rinse off in the shallow water areas of the Resort Pool or head deeper into the water near the grottos and enjoy a massage on your shoulders and neck from the pounding waterfalls. The Resort Pool is also where guests may begin their journeys into the Tropical River to explore the other environments found at Discovery Cove.
