The exclusive Disney's FASTPASS® guest service lets you spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the Parks. This service allows riders to get a designated ride time for some of our most popular attractions. The wait is over. So find out more about how it works and get a list of the attractions that offer this feature.
How it works
Just slide your regular Park ticket through the fastpass machines at participating attractions. Your Disney's FASTPASS® ticket will be imprinted with a designated ride time. Now you can go enjoy the rest of the Park. When your ride time rolls around, come back to the FASTPASS entrance and hop on board with no further wait. What could be easier?
Each attraction that has 'Fastpass' will have two entrances to the queueing area. One will be signed as the Fastpass entrance and will have a return time indicated. To use this entrance you need to hold a Fastpass ticket that is valid for this return time. The Fastpass ticket will have an earliest and latest time that you can use the ticket. You can use the ticket anytime between the two indicated times.
The Fastpass ticket machines will be nearby each attraction that supports Fastpass. Go to the machines and insert your park entrance ticket, you will then be issued a Fastpass ticket. The ticket will indicate the return times and when you can next get another Fastpass. You will not be able to get another Fastpass until the time stated on your current ticket.
If you wish to use the child swap facility then each person and the child is required to hold a fastpass ticket unless the child doesn't require a regular park entrance ticket (This applies to under 3's)
When you use your Fastpass ticket, enter the Fastpass entrance to the queueing area, you will be required to show and surrender your Fastpass ticket to the Cast Member. Your Fastpass is only valid for one ride.
An Example of using Fastpass to maximise your rides.
In Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster are next to each other and both are Fastpass attractions.
Make your way to to these when you enter the park, goto one of the attractions and obtain a Fastpass. Now make your way to the other and use the regular entrance. By the time you have waited in line and then ridden the attraction your return time to the other attraction should be ready and you can use your Fastpass to ride quicker with little or no wait!
DIBB Tip:
FASTPASS can run out so make sure you get them early, especially for the most popular attractions.

A Fastpass is issued for a particular time period (e.g. 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.). However, if you are late for your Fastpass, the CM will let you join the Fastpass queue. We discovered this at Magic Kingdom, when our meal took longer than expected at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a Fastpass for the Jungle Cruise which expired at 4.30 p.m. but we only finished our meal at 4.45 p.m.. We asked the CM if we could use our Fastpasses at, by that time, 4.55 p.m. and she confirmed that we could. Edited to add that this is no longer the case from Spring 2012. Fastpasses can only be used in the actual timeslot on the ticket.
Also, don't forget that certain rides in each park are particularly suited for Fastpass due to their proximity to each other : so, in Magic Kingdom, get a Fastpass for Splash Mountain and then ride Big Thunder Mountain while you are waiting for the Fastpass (or vice versa); in Animal Kingdom, get a Fastpass for Kilimanjaro Safari and join the queue for Expedition Everest (or vice versa); in Hollywood Studios, get a Fastpass for Rock N Roller Coaster and ride Tower of Terror (or vice versa); and, in EPCOT, get a Fastpass for Mission Space and ride Test Track (or vice versa);
