Mickey's PhilharMagic

Mickey's PhilharMagic is located opposite Cinderella's Golden Carrousel in Fantasyland. It is a 12-minute long show featuring 3D effects, interactive smells and water as well as a number of characters from Disney movies. It is shown on the largest purpose built 3D screen ever made, at 150ft wide and 28ft tall.

The story goes that Mickey Mouse is performing with his orchestra, PhilharMagic at the Fantasyland Opera House. When you enter the building there are clever quirks put in by the Imagineers like posters advertising past performers, such as Hades from Hercules.

Before the show starts Donald Duck puts on Mickey's magic hat (seen first in Fantasia) and gets pulled into a whirlwind of magic and music. He loses the hat in the Disneyverse, and passes through scenes from The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, Aladdin, Peter Pan, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast trying to get it back. It ends with an explosion and Donald being launched straight into the audience. An Audio-animatronic of Donald, appears in a balcony wall, struggling to get out.

The entire production of Mickey's PhilharMagic was created totally on computer, representing the first time the featured classic Disney characters were completely modeled and animated by computer.

The show features the largest cast of classic Disney animated stars who have ever performed together in a single 3-D show.
