Push the Talking Trash Can
** This article contains information that may spoil the magic for some readers ** Talking rubbish takes on a new meaning at Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. Push the Talking Trash Can is a 'Living Character' located in Tommorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Push looks like any other trash can in Magic Kingdom except he roams around and interacts with guests by talking with them. Push is very keen to keep the Magic Kingdom clean and encourages guests to put rubbish in him. Push offers guests an opportunity for unexpected, unscripted, interactive theme-park fun. And it can be every bit as thrilling for guests who appreciate Disney’s attention to detail as a spin on Space Mountain. Push is an actual Tomorrowland trash bin so named because of the large word "PUSH" found on either flap. ![]() Spoiler... The character is puppeteered by a single operator in plain clothes. The transmitter is hidden inside a shoulder strapped gym bag, while the microphone is held at the mouth of the puppeteer, concealed in the hand. The character contains a voice processor which changes the operator's voice to a high-pitched electronic tone. Since the operator is so close to the character, it can interact directly with guests.
