St Pete’s Beach area is a fantastic place to unwind from the theme parks no need to drive as Restaurants bars shops are all within walking distances of most of the hotels, Dolphin beach resort is a nice family owned hotel has a great beach bar serves nice bar food, the restaurant food is ok but lacks a good menu there is entertainment some weekday nights and at the weekends, opposite the Dolphin Beach Resort is the Dolphin Shopping Plaza bank, Publix, CVS, Dollar Shop, Hallmark, Hairdressers, Beach shop, Liquor Store, great Pizza Restaurant.

The Harbour Dolphin Landings is where you can go on Dolphin watching Cruises its located behind the village shops.

Grand Plaza Hotel has great revolving rooftop restaurant called spinners where you can experience wonderful sunsets, Food is fantastic but a bit expensive but worth it the hotel itself has nice suites but the hotel can be a bit noisy the Outside bar stays open till 2am and some rooms here the drone of the music lots of weddings held here so wedding parties tend to run a mock, the breakfast Buffet is a bit expensive better to eat outside inside gets a little loud.

Restaurants/Takeaways
Places to eat: Breakfast I Hop, Village Inn(great homemade Pies)….Lunch Dinner Crabby Bills(seafood) Silas steak House great views over the bay you must try their pretzel bread, so many restaurants to cater for all tastes also the usual takeaways Pizza Burgers chicken, Twistee Treats do chilli dogs and ice creams the place is in the shape of an ice cream cone you sit outside.

Places to see
When you do use the car take a trip up the rd (2miles) to Pass a Grille to see the Don Cesar Hotel looks like a pink cake wonderful spa here and boutique style shops well worth a walk around also has a great ice cream parlour.

Pass a Grille home of the hurricane restaurant gets packed food good watch some fantastic sunsets whilst sipping a margarita, Locals ring in the sunset sometimes at the beachside grille area where people gather and have a slice of pizza and a beer they have bought from a nearby Pizza restaurant. Pass a Grille is a really nice place to go and have coffee in the mornings and just chill out read a paper write your postcards post office within the area also lots of nice shops and bars

Just a little further out of St Pete’s (13miles) is Fort De Soto (park fee 50c) old Spanish fort, loads of wildlife, cycle hire,kiaking,Fishing,Dolphin Watching, fantastic beaches and picnic areas no one who visits St Pete’s should miss out on Fort De Soto North beach is the best end to be take a picnic, there are lots of BBQ sitting areas toilets and showers so clean we usually go to Publix and grab a couple of their Sub sandwiches they are so filling.

The beach has white soft sand, opposite the north beach car park is a woodland area you will find nice cove like areas great for fishing or just sitting cooling under the trees bench table seating and more clean toilets and showers sometimes you will spot a racoon wondering around looking for scraps of food don’t normally come near you.

Johns Pass Boardwalk (6miles)
You will find boat trips, jet ski hire, Boutique style shops, great bars and restaurants Bubba Gumps,friendly fisherman to name just two.

Shopping mall
Tyrone square (6miles) JC penny and all the usual shops.

Premium Outlet Ellenton is about (34Miles)
