Universal Studios Theme Park
![]() ![]() Since June 1990 Universal has been wowing it's guests with 'in your face' entertainment and special effects. At this real working motion picture studio, an amazing array of rides, shows, movie sets and attractions put you in your favorite scenes from your favorite movies. It's the only place on earth where you can Ride the Movies. 2010 Attendance figure = 5,949,000 How Much Time: You will need a full day here, there is so much to see and do that you will be occupied non stop from park open to park close. In the high season when the lines are longer you probably won't be able to fit it all in in one day. Location: Universal Studios is located on Universal Boulevard which is at the top end of International Drive close to 'Wet n Wild' and has direct access from the I4. Traveling from the Walt Disney World Resort area: Exit I-4 at Exit 74B Universal Blvd. Take a left onto Universal Blvd. and follow the signs to Universal Orlando. Arriving: Universal parking is in a multi storey state of the art enclosed garage complex with moving sidewalks, escalators and elevators. Once you have parked your car, just follow the signs and moving sidewalks, eventually you'll reach ground level and the hustle and bustle of the area comes to life. Walk about 400 yards and you can go left to 'Islands of Adventure' or right to 'Universal Studios' Take the right and you'll see the Massive universal entrance someway ahead of you. As you head towards the entrance you'll pass shops and restaurants on your right with a lagoon on the left. Eventually you'll cross the Universal bridge and see the famous Universal Studios rotating Globe. Get your cameras out and snap a picture, I think almost everyone that has ever been here will have a picture of this. Past the globe the large Universal entrance arch await you, through the arch and you are at the turnstyles. Preferred Parking: For a nominal fee Preferred Parking allows you to get closer to the park in the parking deck. Closer me on the same level with the moving side walks, not up stairs or down stairs. Just ask the attendant when you pay for your parking. Banking and Currency Exchange The Studio has two on-site automated teller machines (ATMs). One is located at the Studio entrance to the right of the Guest Services window. The other is to the right of the turnstiles at the entrance to our on-site bank, the First Union National Bank. The bank also offers traveler's check cashing, cash advances from credit cards and currency exchanges. The Studio is open every day at 9 a.m. Closing hours are seasonal. Changes in hours are posted at the ticket windows and in the local newspaper whenever possible.
