We are thinking of doing US, IOA and Busch next year but not interested in doing Sea world or Wet n Wild, is there a cheaper option than buying the 5 park Orlando flexi ticket, We would maybe like to do Kennedy Space Center and already have WDW to do! Any suggestions please?????:)

i have only every seen kennedy tickets as stand alone and not bundled with any other. cost about £20 each from most sellers.
4 park flex tickets are £109. if you buy universal and busch gardens tickets seperately it'll cost about £98. you may be worth an extra £11 for the flex tickets to be able to go to seaworld as well and have 14 days to use them.

Depending how many days you want to do at each park your cheapest option might be a single admission for each park or the Universal 1 week or 2 week ticket. Watch out for the online promotion with buy 2 days get 5 free or whatever which could be a good deal.
Busch has the same 'come back guarantee' offer that Seaworld has, so you can buy a single day ticket and exchange it for a second day free.
If you intend to do Discovery Cove you can add Busch Gardens admission as an option with that.
It is really a case of looking at how many days you will use and comparing the options. It may be that the Flexticket is still the best even if you won't visit Seaworld.

Universal have an online 14 day ticket (http://www.universalorlando.com/uk/tickets.html) at the moment for $115+tax so £66 at $1.85 exchange rate with a nationwide credit card which does not charge for foreign tranactions

For Busch you can buy a 1 day ticket using the pepsi discount code (http://commerce.4adventure.com/store/promotions.asp)for £26.60, and then exchange it for the 7 day ticket the same as Seaworld usinf the anytime offer (http://www.buschgardens.com/buschgardens/fla/ticket_options.aspx)

If you are going back within the next 2 years, you could buy Universal Preffered Annual Pass, 1 year with 1 year free, which will give 2 years from the day you activate the tickets, $180 + tax and these give free parking and other discounts, this is via a special offer (http://www.universalorlando.com/annualpass/index.php.html) which is what I have done.

This is probably a really silly question, but where do you get the pepsi discount code from? Also does it cost to upgrade to the 7 day ticket and if so how much? Thanks for any help anyone can give. Laura xx:wavey:

the pepsi promo code is "pepsi" without the inverted commas - you can use the link in my post above for Busch Gardens and here for seaworld (http://commerce.4adventure.com/store/promotions.asp) although use the code in the page and it gives you a choice of Busch or Seaworld, and you will see the 1 day ticket with the 20% off offer

This allows you to buy e-tickets, and you print off a copy, which you take to guest services at the park gate to exchange for an entry ticket. You then ask to exchange for the anytime promotion which will give a further 6 consecutive days of free entry, and it does not cost anything extra - they want you back in the park so you will spend some more money in there! I hope this works anyway as this is what I am doing.

The only thing I would say is you need a credit card, and some charge up to 3.5% on overseas transactions, the nationwide credit card does not. 3.5% can be quite a lot if buying a lot of tickets.

Kay, I notice it is almost a year before you go, I'm not 100% sure but I think seaworld tickets purchased this year have to be used before the end of the year, and I think disney and Universal are the same, unless you buy non-expiry Disney tickets - check before you purchase any tickets.

this info is Fab everyone - keep it coming! Can I ask a Q to the Nationwide C/C holders - I've heard they don't charge for overseas transactions, but is their exchange rate as good as 'bigger' card company's? What I'm trying to ask, is does the exchange rate make up for not paying an exchange fee IYKWIM ?

These Nationwide cards are great, they offer 2 cents more than the commercial rate. Can you at least get the rate right before you post.

Don't go out of your way to get one, the max you will save is £27.50 in every £1000 spent.

when I looked on the financial times website (http://www.marketprices.ft.com/markets/currencies/ab)the exchange rate was $1.85 to the £, and as far as I know (although I could be wrong) this would be the rate used by nationwide, it states "commission free unlike the banks". I do know I have always been happy with the rates I have had when I have used it.

My other credit card charges 3.5% so would be £35 more than the Nationwide card on £1000, and I will spend around £1000 on tickets this year, all purchased in the US, so although £35 is not a lot in the schem of things, it is still £35 I would rather have in my pocket. I don't really know about the interest rates charged by the cards as I pay them off each month. If you were not paying off the balance each month this would be the most important factor.

Sorry Jani, don't know anything about the go orlando tickets, some info here (http://www.travelcitydirect.com/tickets/go_orlando_attraction_tickets.php) don't know if this is the best price you can get these for

Actually it wouldn't be the rate in the paper it would be the current rate at that time, best to check on here first http://www.fxstreet.com/nou/graph/senseframeslistquotesnetdania.asp?bhcp=1

I would swap cards if you are paying 3.5%. I pay my full amount off each month as well but with my Virgin credit card the double miles are worth 3 times as much as I would save with a Nationwide card. I have a US bank account so transfer money over and draw it out over there.

Thanks for that George. We had intended on contacting Seaworld before purchasing anyway. We're just happy it's "almost a year" instead of "more than a year" 'til we go!!!!! If folks are interested, I can let them know how we get on. Love, Laura x:wavey:
