I've read plenty of other peoples itineraries so thought I'd share mine. This is my fourth visit (in 17 years) and is sort of part of my 40th birthday year celebrations. We are renting a villa in Tuscan Ridge (friend of a friend arrangement), we'll be hiring a car and the people we are travelling with are on a fixed budget.
October:
Thursday - arrive Sanford, drive to villa, Walmart big start of holiday shop, maybe dinner out or maybe kids crash out!
Friday - likely to be early start, Animal Kingdom, out for early dinner
Saturday - Magic Kingdom (lunch @ Cinderella's) - stay all day, fireworks, the full Disney works!
Sunday - free, maybe shopping, maybe SeaWorld Spooktacular later on for a while
Monday - early start, Busch Gardens, lot of travelling, out for dinner if kids can take it
Tuesday - free morning, maybe Typhoon Lagoon, afternoon nap (in my dreams!), Mickey's for Halloween Party, very late finish
Wednesday - free, probably shopping for girls, maybe golf for boys, probably Pirate Crazy-Golf then Race Rock in the evening
Thursday - Epcot, long day including fireworks
Friday - SeaWorld, full day but quite relaxing, out for dinner
Saturday - free, there's bound to be shopping and out for dinner
Sunday - MGM, long day including fireworks
Monday - Universal, another long day with Hard Rock for dinner but it's not too manic there
Tuesday - free, must start packing!, out for dinner
Wednesday - Islands of Adventure, last dinner out - maybe Outback
Thursday - pack, last minute shopping, home
We have 14 day Ultimate Disney tickets, we've booked Cinderella lunch and Halloween tickets, we have Universal 5 day tickets. Still got to book SeaWorld and Busch but have seen a good offer (21 day thingy!).
Last year the schedule went out right on the first day (7 hour delay with TCD!) so I am an expert at re-scheduling on the fly if need be. I'm taking two 'Disney Princesses' with me so I'm sure we'll fill any possible gaps with even more Disney!
I checked the busy days with TouringPlans.Com as they seem to have been pretty accurate on previous visits. I also used the park hours posted on wdwinfo.com as a starting point (I like the tabular layout!).
Now I just have to stare at the clock for the next 4 months!
