Has anyone been to Howl O Scream? I notice the park closing hours is 5 PM, then reopening at 7.30 PM for Howl O Scream.
Our intention is to arrive around lunchtime to do the park and stay for Howl O Scream at night, just wondering what to do for this 2 hours, will we have to leave the park, or will we be able to stay in the park and perhaps have something to eat?

Lisa, I have emailed Busch Gardens to enquire but it says may take 5 days to get a reply.
I have already purchased the Howl O Scream weekend passes, which gives unlimited park and Howl O Scream access for 4 days, Thursday through to Sunday, $80 + tax each.
I did Howl-o-Scream last year, and could stay in the park after it "closed."
It was good =) They did a dinner show at about 6pm that was neat, seperate ticket needed for it.

Andy, did the rides stop during the period when the park was "closed", and where was the dinner show held at? Did you think Howl O Scream was good, have really just chosen this to avoid the large crowds at IOA. Thanks

I did HOS last year and found it way better than HHN at Universal. We were kept in a certain area within the park and were not allowed out of that area. The few small rides that were in that area were operating, but they were not any of the major ones. Those who had the ticket to the show and dinner had a special wrist band and were allowed entry to the rest of the park before the rest of us waiting on the inside.
What I did find was once we were allowed to roam about the rides were dead as everyone was going into the horror zones etc.
When we go in Oct this year we are not doing any Halloween stuff. We missed out on loads of things, so plenty to do again this time :)

Thanks for all the info, we are thinking of doing 2 days and nights at Busch on the weekend we have the tickets for, so 1 night can do the rides in the dark, and one night visit the horror zones, will probably make the Thursday one of the days.
Can't find any info about the dinner show on the Busch website though
