:) I understand you now need a temporary disabled parking permit for use in Florida , TCD has said you need to get one as our U.K. ones are no longer recognised. We have previously used our U.K. one every year with no problem. You have to go to a DVS centre and pay $15 . Hope this doesn't take too long on our first day ! Has anyone done this yet ?
Thanks

I've not heard this one. You used to have to do that but on our last two trips our blue badge has been recognised. We just show it to the CM's at the parking booths and they direct you to the accessible parking areas.

Unless you are going to be parking on the public highway you don't need a permit.
The theme park car parks are private property and they recognise the blue UK disabled badge. We have never had any problem using ours. If you hang it from the rear view mirror it will be easier for CMs to spot as this is where the locals display theirs. You will also find there is less abuse of disabled parking spaces over there.
