 hi i have just booked a 2 week holiday to orlando over the christmas school break for me and my 6 year old son - mum very excited!! i have taken advantage of virgin single parent deal and so i am staying on I drive with the non drive option - basically because i drive every day for work so will be a change and the virgin deal works out better probably as i have left it too late?
my main baffle is what to book on tickets so many options not sure what to do - i booked the discovery cove plus package so get busch gardens and seaworld - also cirque soleil

Kim Disney is not all girlie at all when we went this year my DD was getting married and there were 30 of us all aged from 2 to 60 and both boys and girls enjoyed every minute of it so don't worry your son will love it.As everyone does.:wavey: Sylvy

Hi & Welcome! We are also going for Christmas - so might see you there! We did Christmas 2004 and if you read my Trip Report (link below) it might give you some ideas of what to do. We particularly enjoyed a Sleigh Ride from one of the Disney hotels, Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional (carol concert with a celebrity narrator).

There are plenty of "boys" things - consider the Family Magic tour which my girl and boy both adored. Its $25 and a treasure hunt around the Magic Kingdom with Peter Pan - its a riot and one of the highlights of our trip last year!

Have fun!

What height is your 6 year old? May be that the thrill rides at Busch will be above his height restriction??? Worth checking before you go to Busch in case it disappoints me if he's below minimum height??

Hi,

We always go for the Christmas festivities but never actually for Christmas. Usually the first fortnight in December. It's a shame you aren't driving as Celebration is great at that time of year. The height restriction for most of the big rides is 4'6" or 54" and they are very strict with it.
