Hi! :wavey:

We´re leaving for Orihuela Costa (south of Alicante) on sunday and I need some info from those who know the area.

Would like to spend most of our time in no so "touristy" areas. The more "local" the better. Any small towns you reccommend?

Also would like to find the best beaches for families with kids. Any ideas?

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated :d:

Just come back stayed near Torevieja in a place called Playa Flamenca. Been 3 times now and the best beach we have found is La marina - about 20km from Alicante. Also Guardamar is good with big waves - kids loved to body board. Word of warning if your going to Alicante airport take old luggage. I have never seen suitcases in such a mess when they came off the plane. One of our cases has gone astray and is still somewhere at Alicante airport - I hope :)

Oh my, hope you get your luggage back soon. Does this mean I should worry about our brand new stroller?

We will be staying in Playa Flamenca. From what I understand, Orihuela Costa is in Playa Flamenca.

Will check out the beach in La Marina. Was it crowded?

Thanks, it has been 4 days now and it was my 13 yr old DD case with the whole of her wardrobe in there. So you can imagine she is not best pleased. Hope it turns up as we are going to Florida in October and now unable to get any summer clothes :(

The beach was not that crowded however we like to get there a bit later on in the afternoon by which time most people had left, however it is now Spanish holidays so will be more crowded. The beach is enormous so i'm sure you'll find a spot. :)

Oh no. Hope she gets her bag soon. Can´t imagine going to Florida without summer clothes!

Have the spanish holidays just started?
Do you know of a Zoo anywhere?
