? about old town - kissimmee

hi

we will be stopping in a disney hotel and we are not driving.

we would like to go to old town for the day and wondered if anyone had done this without a car.

would we be able to get a bus/taxi and would anyone know roughly how much it would cost.

any help would be appreciated.

We always drive, but if you do get a cab or bus its not really a place to spend a whole day - couple of hours at the most.

Old Town is one of our faves!!!

There are some great shops like The General Store and Wound 'N Around which sell some great american memorabillia stuff! We also got the best "old time" photo's done there, which was a great experience!

I would aim for a saturday afternoon if you can, then you would make the saturday night cars parade, which is not to be missed if you are only going the once to Old Town.

As for transport, I think it might be a little difficult. I'm sure if you ask at guest relations, Disney would give you the best way and cheapest way to get there. I am sure the Lynx bus service does this route, but for reliability, I would'nt rate it, it's kind of the local bus service. Taxi would be an option but not sure of the cost.

Yeah, we spent a few nights there when we went. Reccomend it, don't know about any of the transport though, we had a car and just drove up and walked around
