Hi we are going in Sept and as we will be visiting Clearwater on our way to watching the Tampa Bay Devil Rays play baseball we was hoping to do the Screamer trip to see the dolphins. Has anyone done this trip? Is it expensive? Any advice would be great, thanks. :d:

Hi
we have always done the power boat called the thriller, it is alot smaller than the screamer, but my god its fast 70mph, its a newish power boat, we went on it this year and last, we had a family of dolphins jumping with the waves this year and it brought a tear to your eye. The co driver said it was unusual to see such a small baby jumping, it was excellent. I would recommend this boat more than the screamer, you also go out alot further, it is only $5 dollars more, but its worth it, also you can get a parking permit from him to park in the marina, it cost us $2, well worth it. The whole experience is great, and there is alot to do at clearwater. The pice of the ticket was$20 each

Hi,
We did the Seascreamer trip last October and I'd highly recommend it - we'll be going back for more in November! I even got to 'drive' the boat and pose for a photo with the hunky captain!
Done the sea screamer twice - they guarantee you the 'dolphin experience' or a free trip next time. Trip usually lasts 45 ish minutes. Last time I went we couldnt find dolphins to the skipper asked everyone if they had time to stay onboard till we found some....we did and the trip lasted about 2 hours. Well worth the visit....top tip. Park on a meter, go and pay for your sea screamer ticket and ask for a parking voucher (two dollars) this then lets you park for half a day free on a meter.

we did the sea screamer we all enjoyed it
did the sea screamer a couple of days ago, great trip but if you are after thrills you will be disappointed imho. it does travel fast but due to its size you don't appreciate how fast you are going.

Hi
like a4gom said the screamer is big, but the thriller isnt, I cant remember their website, search on clearwater site for beach activities it might bring it up, me personally the thriller all the time, smaller and you are gone for about 1 half hours.

We are returning in september and this is the first thing we are going to do on the friday.
How difficult is it to get to the marina...we are travelling from LBV and my only concern is the travelling time and directions?
Can any one assist?

saratoga2005 - Can't help you with directions as we're going to Clearwater for the first time as well in September. Looking at our countdowns we seem to be very close - are you going from Cardiff?
