Has anyone been to any of the above in December/January and can let me know what the weather/temperatures were like?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a hotel I'd be grateful too. Ideally we'd like half board or all inclusive, but if you have say a B&B that you'd recommend please let me know, plus also if possible prices of the meals in that hotel restaurant.

Many thanks.

Hannah

I've been to the Canaries a couple of times (January and February) and the weather can be very variable. We had a mixture of dry, warmish days, days when it drizzled rain all day and other days when it was dry but just not very warm.

It was never what I'd call very warm and not my idea of winter sun - however I have plenty of friends who think its a great place to go in January as its warmer than here.

I've not been to any of the others at any time of year.

Hannah - have you been to any of these places before? Do you need advice on the countries?

We spent Xmas in Lanzarote one year - pleasant enough to walk about in in short sleeves but too cold to swim in the sea or in an unheated pool. No rain though. Wouldn't recommend it for a Winter Sun break and I presume the other Canaries would be similar.

Been to the canries in January and Febuary. Weather was nice during the day but got cold at night. I had to wear a jacket at night to keep warm when out and about.
