Good for you:spin: I'm sure it will be fine.
It always looks good in brochures and Sheraton have a huge reputation to follow. I think sometimes tripadvisor is the first place people go to, who have had a bad stay, you never hear about the good ones, don't worry too much now then!:wavey:

I stayed at the Sheraton Safari in August and had no complaints at all, the staff were friendly, the room clean and in a good location with plenty of restaurants within a few miinutes walking distance. I am considering staying there again next year.

Take all reviews with a large pinch of salt, The Sheraton Safari is in a great location which counts for a lot, with the competition for guests in that area, a really bad hotel simply wouldn't survive. I don't think you have anything to worry about, if your room isn't what you'd hoped for when you arrive, ask immediately for another room and keep complaining until you are happy.
We last stayed there in November 1999 and found it to be fabulous there. Our sons particularly loved the python water slide and kept going down it. It`s a wonder they didn`t get dizzy!! We started staying in villas after that as with two lads we found we needed the space!! Have a fabulous holiday. :-)

Oh don't pay too much attention to those reviews on Tripadvisor, verrry harsh IMO! Some people slate perfectly OK places just because they're not 5 star luxury for $50 a night!
hi, we stayed here in may this year, just ask for a room with a pool view and you will be ok, the staff at this hotel are wonderful, our stay in may was our fourth, and the staff in the restaurant and shops and some on reception remembered us, they made us very welcome (but the are for everyone), it is a great location, very close to shops and restaurants and winn dixie, remember to get a winn dixie card it will save you lots, susie

I beg to differ with some comments on here. There are loads of good reviews on the TA website, you are obviously looking at the wrong hotels! Sometimes a hotel is just THAT bad! Some comments are petty, but if a hotel is consistantly getting bad reviews, then personally i'd take that as something to worry about. Although saying that, the Sheraton does have a reputation to live up to, so sometimes if a hotel doesn't meet that, then people will complain. I don't think you can go far wrong with a Sheraton hotel, they are much of muchness, so you should be fine.
Hi this is not about a hotel in Florida but here at home my son has booked a hotel in Liverpool for his wedding reception next June having been to see the reception room I was pleased withe everything. Then in July I was looking at TA and it said some terrible things about the rooms as we and a lot of my family have booked to stay the night I called in to see the rooms they were lovely and not a bit like the TA review,so I mentioned to the young lady and she said sometimes other hoteliers put bad reports on the TA.She had worked in the States for a few years and the same thing had been done to hotels over there so don't believe everything you read on there.

I always find its best to ignore the american reviews on trip advisor as i personnally found that they make more of a mountain out of a mole hill than us brits do, i worried for months that our hotel in 2005 was gonna be awful after reading the reviews turns out there was absolutely nothing to concern ourselves about (funnily enough that was a sheraton too, sheraton vistana resort LBV). Now if the brits had of complained i would really had of worried lol but they all said it was fine :)
