I've been to both and if I had to choose between them, would go for Crystal Palace.
If it's for breakfast, however, the best character brekkie we've had was at the Polynesian. It's waitress service and a lot quieter.

We have been to both and we preferred Chef Mickeys. Don't get me wrong they are both great and whichever you choose it will be good. But we just thought Chef Mickeys was more fun.

Another vote for Chef Mickeys. Have been to both and the breakfast at Chef Mickeys was superb by far the best character meal we have had.

I love both as well but I feel you get better character interaction at chef mickeys and its not as big.
I like Chef Mickey's, it's bright and lively and fun and the food is great and you can eat as much as you want. Oh, and you can wave at the people on the monorail! :) But you won't be disappointed with either choice.

Well being a Pooh & Friends fan it would have to be Crystal Palace for us.

Had dinner at both these places. If I had to choose one I would have to say Chef Mickeys as the atmosphere was better and the characters spent more time at your table.

Both!!! That's what we're doing on our next trip anyway. Have only been to Crystal Palace for dinner so far and that was great, going by the comments on here Chef Mickey's is going to be equally good hopefully.

Hi
Do you have to book these before you travel and where at? Or can you book them when you are in Orlando and where do you book them while there?
Thanks Gill x:d:

we have only been to Chef mickeys but we really love it ,the character interaction is brilliant :cool2: :cool2: :cool2:
Chef Mickey's for me.... we found the food at the Crystal Palace a bit rich and the character interaction wasn't what we imagined it would be. However the rest'rant is beautiful.
Best character breakko we went to was Ohana's.. was superb. We will try out the Liberty Tree Tavern this time.

Definitely book in advance, up to 180 days in advance in fact. Call them from the UK on 00-1-407-WDW-DINE. If you leave it until you're there, most will have sold out.

Thanks everyone,
Great help- guess what- phoned Disney this morning and have booked the brekkie at chef Mickey's. We are going end Sept/beg Oct and i thought it would be relatively quiet but we struggled to get a reservation so do book it even if you are going at an off-season time. We got breakfast at 11am- they won't be clearing up by that time will they? it was all we could get
Doesn't surprise me at all that you had trouble booking - especially for when you're going as the free Dining Plan being offered to resort guests with Mgaic Your Way tickets means the floodgates will have been well and truly opened, even wider than normal. Glad you got something anyway, Chef Mickey's is great fun. Don't worry about the time, the gang will all still be there.
