My DS's school called at 9.15 because his radio aids were not on his hearing aids, now this morning DH said he would put them in,left the house in a hurry, never checked DS's ears,I assumed he had lost them in the playground so all the schoolchildren went out into the playground at break to look for them:blush: ! I phoned DH at work because I was upset at the thoughtof DS not having his radio aids,DH said they were in his trouser pocket:angry: !he had forgotten to put them in!I am so annoyed :mad2: with DH for being so stupid!I'll never trust him to put the radio aids in again.Men!

Bet he won't do it again though :pgig:

our son (he is severely deaf) stopped using his radio-aids when he got to High school, think he was just so self consious of them although hadn't been in Primary. We were a bit worried but wait for it just did his Standard Grades this year and got

1 in French :d:
1 in Physics
1 in Chemistry
2 in P.E.
2 in Georgraphy

A in Intermediate 2 Maths which is harder than the standard grade
B in computing intermeidate 2
C in English intermediate 2

No bad for the boy who was told you will NEVER manage French. Deaf children don't cope well with French :mad2: he sure did :d:

Oh ali and boyz, you must be so proud of your son! they are wonderful results!
the radio aids DS has are discreet so at the moment he wears them but I know when he gets older that might change,,DH is also deaf, he went to University has 2 degrees and now has a successfull career.

Wow, well done.

As my daughter is deaf and she is in mainstream school, primary 2 now and she is doing well and she is wearing an cochlear implant. I am glad she copy very well but I am not sure dunno about high school. Until I read this, that is very good and you must be proud of him.

My sister used a radio aid up until high school but then she was bullied really badly because of it :mad2:  :mad2: ( if i ever see that girl!!! )

She gave up after this but still did well and got through it but I know she found it tough

Well done on those results though. You must be really proud
