View Full Version : Premium Outlets or Florida Mall
I was decided on Premium Outlets for my shopping trip, however have since found Florida Mall.
Would anyone recommend one over the other, so I can try and decided.
Also how easy are they to get to, staying at Quality Inn International?
Thanks in advance! :wavey:

It depends if you are driving or not!
The Outlets are discounted stores with lots of bargains to be had. The Florida mall is bigger and all indoors and has major department stores and at this time of year, pleanty of sales. If you tell them you are a visitor from the UK you can get extra money off.
The Mall at Millenia is wworth a viist too as it is so fantastic and has a great food court.
All very easy to drive to!
The Outlets and Mall at Millenia are at opposite ends of I drive.:wavey:

premium outlets here - loved all the shops and a great food court. found the prices to be cheaper than the florida mall!
Not driving, forgot to mention that! I presume there are buses or shuttles though!
We've also got an afternoon at the Mall at Millennia to call in at the Cheesecake Factory!
Its like comparing a Fiat Punto to a Jaguar lol. Premium Outlets is very good but is discounted older stock or in some cases seconds, Some very good outlets there but in my opinion only - some tat as well.
Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia are shop with current stock and higher prices. My favourite is Mall at Millenia - so light and airy in there, good food court and of course the Cheesecake Factory.

If you are not driving, then I would recommend the Premium Outlets as it is soo much easier to get to either on the trolley or a Lynx bus.

If I had to pick one I would say Premium. To be honest I only go to Florida Mall for Victorias Secret

Premium outlets every time..........I found the Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia were nice to look at but I didn't come away with any purchases other than clinique make-up (which i could have bought just as cheaply at the airport.
As fellow non-drivers we regularly catch the I-ride trolley down to the premium outlets and always come away with bags and bags of bargains !!
I cant believe in 1 week i'll be doing it again !
Sorry for my ignorance but where is Mall at Millenia, haven stayed in orlando for good few years as always go down the coast and just drive up for few days for parks.
We love both, we have a day at the florida mall, and we go to premium outlets one night after we come out of the parks, say seaworld (a quite day no rushing around), it isn't that far I don't think anyway, we go and have tea there in the food court and shop, you could always get a taxi from seaworld to premium outlets and when you finish back to your hotel. Just a thought.
Enjoy your holiday.

premium outlets for me!!!!!!!!!!!.
Personally i didnt like Mall at millenia at all, to many designer shops(displaying a couple of items in the window LOL). to expensive, i wouldnt shop at Gucci, versace or any place like that at home. It is a nice mall to look round if you havent been before, but for good prices has to be premium outlets!!

BOTH;)
We probably buy more at Premium Outlets (Remember to join the VIP Club for all the vouchers) but also love the Florida Mall.
We visited Mall of Mallenia for the first time this year. It was "beautiful" but "very expensive". They had a lovely food court and if you have a spare half day it is worth a visit.

The Mall at millenia was very nice, our DS picked up some bargains at one of the big dept stores who had a sale on.
We caught a cab from Universals RPR (top end of I-Drive), the cab cost $11 each way.
Premium Outlet mall is our favourite, we used the I-Ride trolley to get there, http://www.iridetrolley.com/.
We also visited the Florida Mall, we used the Lynx No42 bus from I-Drive, you can also catch this from the Premium Outlet mall, http://www.golynx.com/, cost is $1.50. It is a long journey though and can took us about 30 mins.

Just a word of warning the Premium Outlet Mall is a tourist trap especially for Brits - you never see locals shopping there. Only yesterday I returned a few items to the POM as I found the same cheaper or better at the Florida Mall.

It depends on what you are after, DH and I bought Nike trainers at Finishing Post in the Mall at Millenia - they were not available at Premium and at $85 per pair were the same in dollars as you pay in pounds here.
So with the present exchange rate, designer stuff and all brand names are worth going to the "posher" malls for IMHO
I go to premium outlets for kids clothes , nike and gap cheaply. But i go to Florida Mall or Mall at Millenia for more exclusive goods. Unless there is something you are specifically looking for don't waste your holiday it isn't a bargain if you didn't realise you " needed" it in the first place.I love shopping and am usually a master at it , but i walked into Neiman Marcus bought a bag i was after and couldn't face the rest of Florida mall as it was vast i just wanted more sunshine lol. You also don't get the bargains you anticipate unless it is US made as the weak $ doesn't seem to help on european imports ( hope that makes sense ?) only my opinion but my DH would argue i am an experienced shopper LOL
It depends on what you want - premium outlets is great for outlet shopping. florida mall is great for regular shopping! Why not do both?

I like Florida Mall for American Eagle, A&F, Hollister, GAP and like Premium for GAP outlet, Wilson's Leather, Calvin Kline, Disney Outlet. But having seen that A&F is opening at Millenia I will go their as I am sure a taxi is cheaper from I-Drive.

Does anyone have any idea how to get to Mall at Millenia from Wet n Wild without a car? Public transport? or Taxi costs. I have only been by car and I can not remember if they had a bus stop their.

I  both of them.
They are two completely different shopping experiences. I really couldn't choose one over the other as they're both a 'must' for me on a trip to Orlando.

How do you join the VIP club for Premium Outlets? Its the only place to shop! Does anyone else have as addiction to Country Clutter?
Both serve different purposes. Premium is an outlet and Florida Mall has a huge variety of great stores that you will not find at Premium. We went twice to both. At Premium we got trainers and jeans and at Florida we hot lots of books, smellies, chocolate and bits and bobs. I have totally changed my mind since my last trip and if I had the choice of one it would be Florida Mall. It just depends what you want - both are great.

A cab should cost no more than $10.
