Cotumes for MVMCP?

My 2 DS's ( 9 and 11 yrs) would like to dress up in their costumes for the evening but are worried they will look out of place.
I haven't been to MVMCP for a good few years and can't remember anyone in costume, just loads of americans with horrendously tacky Christmas sweaters on!!!:omg: :omg: :omg: ( think of that scene from Bridget Jones' Diary!!).
What do you think?
I have promised to buy them a pirate costume each.

Lin, when we went to the party there were loads dressed up, I am sure they will not feel out of place.
To be on the safe side, why not take a spare set of everyday clothes with you and put them in a locker, just incase they change their minds and they can go and change in the toilets:)

We found MNSSHP had a totally different atmosphere to MVMCP :)
