I read this on the DIS (the US version of the DIB) can anyone please help?????? I so feel for the guy Ian and his family. Just trying to imagine loosing my camera makes me tearful.
Thanks everyone, hoping for a happy ending ........... Linda x
Just back, and disappointed in people... please help!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just back from Disney.. and I have to say, there's got to be something someone out there can do or help me with..
We just got back today from a week at Disney, but the sad thing is, is that I lost our camera on Thursday 8/31 at Animal Kingdom (somewhere between Lion King and Tusker House) during the downpour in the afternoon
[It's a Canon G2, Silver color, was in a black bag and lost&found does know about it, but no luck so far..]
Now, I wouldn't say it's a 'big deal'.. but my wife seems very depressed and was crying.. it's our youngest DS2's first trip to Disney and the pictures are now gone..
I want to believe in the goodness of people, so someone, please help..
KEEP THE CAMERA (I don't care).. I just want the PICTURES off the MEMORY CARD.. I"ll even pay you for it, or send you a reward... this is NOT a joke and not the type of first post i'd like to be making, but.. oh well.
[I think our address was in the case, but if not, you can e.mail me at i.chen@charter.net]
If people can spread the word to other boards or websites, I'd appreciate it.. I'm definetly not savy enough to make my own website (like the t-mobile sidekick guy), but if I could, I would... maybe someone out there can help.
Thanks
-Ian

Poor thing, I can understand how the family must be feeling.
I was devestated when I thought I'd lost my scan pictures taken when I was pregnant with DD. I searched high and low for them and just came to the conclusion they'd got thrown out by accident. Then out of the blue, almost five months after she was born we found them, looked like I'd put them somewhere safe and forgotten where the safe place was.....that's what being pregnant does to you...lol

He should try lost property AGAIN......we lost something at MK once but it did not turn up for several days at the lost property centre at MK.
I would be surprised if someone had stolen it (though obviously it can happen anywhere) a camera is not the most appealing thing to a theif these days I wouldn't have thought - lets hope not anyhow.:(
I can't find his original post so perhaps someone could pass this message on ?
I've sent it on to him

On our 1st visit DH was carrying DD camera. He put it down in the shop by the Spiderman ride. When we realised we went back & it had gone.. It never turned up at lost & found.
What really upset us that it was a boots childrens camera & worth very little to who ever took it.

But the photopass pictures have got a few of him with his son and Mickey.
Ive offered to take any other pictures of characters for him when we go in Oct( I know its not the same, but perhaps better than nothing?)
Thanks for your support

Good - a happy ending. I lost mine in the park before and went to lost property on the way out and it had been handed in. I'd like to think that in a place like that most people understand how important those memories are to people. Sad though that some are never returned.

Gee glad he got his camera back .. I only just read this and was gonna post about the wheels turning slowly at Disney regarding lost property..and chances are it would turn up...but as you can see .. I am far too late LOL
I left my video camera under the table when I went to Breakfasaurus (sp) as soon as I realised I ran back to the restaurant.. no camera.. they told me to try at the front of the park .... Off I trots ... customer services .. nothing here ...try central lost property... I said I only left it not long ago ... tried central ... they said they would keep an eye out .. but would ring the restaurant... I think they called me and told me that it was still at the restaurant!!! LOL loads of fun
something else I lost (left it hanging on a wheelchair in a disney carrier bag) tried ringing lost property for several days they kept saying no nothing... so i gave up on that and thought it must be gone forever... It was posted to my home address.....
