It's not as if they don't make enough on the admission tickets, I think paying for parking is a bit cheeky, preferred parking and valet yes, but bog standard parking...NO!!!
It is a bit cheeky, but that works out at just under £5.50 per day..so with the risk of getting my head shouted off thats not bad when compared to the parking fees we pay (ie our local hospital want £5 for 4 hours, all day parking in town about £12!!!) & you can park hop on the same parking ticket.

Hmm, I wonder if Disney will now get the same slating that Universal got when they raised their parking fees

Have to agree, I would much rather pay to park at Disney and enjoy a day there than pay the local parking charges in our town just to go shopping.

I agree that it's not bad in comparison to what we pay in city centres here. I paid £7.20 for up to 3 hours yesterday in Cardiff but I still think we pay enough for admission and car parking should be included in that unless you want preferred or valet.

Come on folks, lets stop being picky $10 is nothing really and if your put out grab a shuttle bus, but as was said earlier we musn't forget what we pay here.We paid $7 or $8 dollars in march 2004, so when you work out the new attractions and the fun we all have its a small price to pay and also don't forget how much cheaper it is for fuel in the states, so I cannot see us losing out.

I paid £6 just to drop luggage off at Gatwick when we flew out, that was 1 hour 2 mins. ($11)
I don't think $10 is excessive but perhaps it subsidises the Disney transport, buses, ferry monorail etc.
Disney bus driver told us the MK carpark holds over 25,000 cars

I think the Disney tickets work out quite cheap considering what we have to pay to visit places like Thorpe park(what a filthy disgusting pit imho)im sure if the parking went up to $15 i would still pay it.
If we are staying outside WDW we budget for it before we go and don't mind it at all. Yes, it is "bog standard parking" but the car parks are patrolled, there are CM's showing you where to park and then there are the trams - although we usually walk (unless very late into a park and miles away from the entrance).
Can you imagine the chaos if you just parked where you wanted?????

Well said ,the car parks are run very proffesionaly and worth the $10 ,although nobody likes a price rise:d:
I think the total amount made at all the car parks every day is equivalant to what it costs to stage the fireworks and lasers show each night.
Royal Pacific Resort at Universal charged us $12 a day to park our car there when staying. Now that IS cheeky!
I agree, it is a lot but on the other hand it is nothing comared to city centre parking in the UK and as someone else said, we always budget for it. Although I have just purchased Annual Premium passes for our next 2 trips so that is one thing I wont have to budget for. So that means they were even better value.
Just wait till DH sees about the increase though. He doesn't know I have booked to go in November or purchased the Annual passes, so he will probably be having a moan about the increase!!!!! LOL:pgig: :pgig: :pgig:
One thing about the rise is that it starts to make even more sense for one person in your party to buy an AP in order to get free parking. On our 21 day trip next year we'll probably be at Disney at least 12 times which would be a $120 saving, plus access to all the other AP benefits!

I would say within 3 years then.
Lets be honest, Disney is a business and car parking fees are a lucrative part of that. (Captive Audience)
Can someone explain what part of the Disney "Magic" that Car ark fees comes under???????
All in all, as stated by others......we budget for it. If someone feels that these fees impact so greatly one would have to ask why go to Florida in the first place? If you have a car and you want to park at the parks........you pay.
