Have finalised my itinerary (avoiding EMH) for my first trip to Disney and would love your help with my trips to the parks. :jump:

Hope to post a different park each week for your advice.

2 adults only

Will be there for park opening but where to head first ?? :erm:

Would love to hear your tips for avoiding queues and what to do in which order on the day.

hi
we usually head straight for splash mountain and thunder mountain, you can look at the shops etc on the way out!then work anti- clock wise to the hub. have lunch and continue anti clockwise until we are back to square one! stop at the launching pad for coffee and stuffed pretzel. ride tta and then carousel of progress. usually ready to call it a day by then. walk down main street on right hand side lookng in shops then back up left side buy either tea or ice cream and sit by the rose garden and look at the castle and people watch. we usually spend a second day concentrating on parades, shows and the fireworks! it will be interesting to see other peoples ways of doing m.k.!

We would do either splash & big thunder ( fast pass one, queue for the other ) or space M & buzz ( same - queue & FP ) then philarmagic & haunted mansion , & that would be all our 'main rides ' out of the way !

I know this is nothing to do with which rides to do first etc but can I just add in view of a problem our DD had (see my trip report for day 5). Don't wear very short shorts! :erm:

Hello,

We usually go anti-clockwise heading straight for Buzz and then Space Mountain, then we work round the rest of the park in order. We usually do 2 days at MK cos 1 day just isn't enough, but then we have a 3 year old and this is her favourite park.

If you're planning on doing a full day in MK, ie there early and staying for Wishes, then I would recommend making an ADR somewhere to cool down and have a nice meal and a rest. We are doing Crystal Palace on one of our MK days and Chef Mickey's on the other.

Yeah i agree head for the Mountains. Get a fastapss for Splash and go on Big Thunder and then if you've got time to spare after Big Thunder before your fastpass head to Space Mountain as its not that bad usually. DONT go to fantasy land until later in the day cos all the children n parents head there first thing!

Go to the most popular rides first in any park you go to so in MK it would be space mountain splash mountain and thunder mountain after that you should be ok

Don't queue long for Space Mountain. It's not worth it. Especially if you've ridden the one at DLP

If you start to get *parked out* then leave, you can always go back in the evening after a rest and a swim. At no extra charge.
