Hi Guys

Seriously thinking about renting some DVC points for our final 4 nights this year and just wondered what resort is your favourite and why to help me choose which resort (if available) to stay at

Please help me decide :d: :d:

We have tried most of the resorts except Old Key West.

The Beachclub villas are great as you get to use storm along bay which is part of the Yacht and Beach Club and it's handy for the boardwalk, epcot, downtown disney etc.

DH and I love the Boardwalk and have stayed there the last few times. We love it because of it's close proximity to the bars and entertainment of the boardwalk.

Old Key West is the largest resort and a bit more spread out, but I'm sure someone said the rooms are slightly bigger and I know that they were in the process of being renovated. The pool area was also renovated a few years ago.

Wilderness Lodge has a great entrance/reception area, good restaurants and a great pool, but some comments are that the rooms are a bit dark.

If you want to be right in the action I'd go for the Boardwalk and for a tranquil oasis I'd pick OKW. If it is for the trip on your countdown you might be limited as the Food & Wine festival is on so you might just get OKW or Saratoga depending on which type of accommodation you want.

Thanks guys, I know it may be limited availability but thought it is worth a shot.

What do you want? Do you have kids?

Beach Club is fantastic in terms of location and the Storm a Long Pool, Boardwalk again is in a fab location and lively, Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking to look at and you can get a boat to MK, Old Key West is very laid back and the rooms are the biggest and Saratoga Springs is the newest resort, has a Spa and is massive so you should get in there.

Let us know what you decide.

Claire,

We own at both Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club and would recommend them both. Yes, the decor at Wilderness Lodge is dark, but it is still the best themed hotel in my opinion - also if you stay there go down to Fort Wilderness to the Trails end buffet, it's the best value on-site buffet. The Beach Club has a fantastic location (2 minute walk to EPCOT and last time we went we could see the Fireworks from our balcony) and the decor is definatley not dark :D - the pool area (Stormalong Bay?) is also a big hit with families.

As has already been said if you're planning to stay in October, because of the Food and Wine Festival, availability may be an issue at resorts other than possibly Old Key West or Saratoga Springs.
