 This is the first time we are away to Florida on october 5th cant wait:spin:

One thing i would like to ask my dad has a disability and we were wondering how you get a pass so he wont have to stand in the queue's for long at the theme parks. I have heard that if you take proof along to the parks and show it at the gate you will get one, is this right.

It depends on what his disability is - if it is one of stamina (he can't stand for long) they will suggest you rent a wheelchair as most of the shows / rides are wheelchair accessible.

If you explain what assistance your dad needs they will come up with the best solution for you.

Thanks for the replies. He can walk but not very far and struggles to stand for a long time, do you think we will be able to get a pass. Thanks

They also have those electric scooter ECV's you can hire for the day... dearer than the wheelchair but he may prefer that. Anyways.. he WILL need some sort of wheels by the sound of it. My DD does and we just go to Guest services and they give us a Guest Assistance Card, we don't have to show any proof. They will see your situation and you will be fine. Disney is absolutely brilliant for disabled people.

If he has no other medical conditions then they will probably suggest the wheelchair rather than issue you with a guest assistance card. The wheelchair means he can sit down while in the line and not have to worry about walking too far.
