Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had stayed in the cabins at Fort wilderness? I like the idea of a seperate bedroom away from the kids next time! Although they look a bit rustic from the photo to me? Are they? (It is the same photo in everything I have seen!). I hate camping!! Although hubby would be right at home!
Any views most welcome.
Many thanks,
Kate :wavey:

It isnt like camping, must be one of the best times I had at Disney. The cabins are huge compete with very large fridge freezer, big kitchen, big bathroom.
Double bed with bukbeds in one bedroom and a pull down double bed from the wall in the lounge.
They have a great balcony with tables outside if you wish and a bbq....
I loved it, not like camping more like a little villa to yourself.... The activities they have there are great as well, especially roasting marshmallows and watching movies outside on the big screen....
All I would say is you need mossy spray there.........

I haven't stayed in these cabins ..but I have eaten at the trails end buffet .. that looked rustic but we had a great meal there..
the resort looks great really nice .. and unless you are taking a 'tent' then i am sure the accommodation will be comfortable. :)
have you seen these pictures?
click here (http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/fwss.htm) on the eallears website ..
the resort is pretty huge though!!

We absolutely love FW - it is our very fave resort. NOT at all like camping - most comfortable and really equipped. We think it's a relaxed and fun resort.

Yes they are airconditioned ..
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground opened in November 1971. The resort has 788 mostly shaded campsites and 407 air-conditioned Wilderness Cabins residing on more than 700 acres of lush vegetation and surrounded by pine and cypress trees. It is not unusual to see wildlife such as rabbits, deer, armadillos, ducks, geese, and peacocks roaming the grounds.
curtesy of allears again :)
gee you would be little grease spots in summer with no air-con :confused2

from what I have gathered the only not so good things are the size of the resort (you may need to hire a golf cart) which wouldnt be a bad thing to me ;) i would love it ..and the mossies ..but the place looks so and there seems to be loads to do .. you maybe wouldn't even need to go to the parks ;) LOL
