We ate there in 2004 and DH said it was the best steak he'd ever had and he's had a lot of steaks:pgig: It was very expensive and quite dressy I seem to recall, although we were just dressed in theme park casual:blush:

We went there last October and loved it!! :d:
I wouldn't say it was very dressy but I did where trousers and a more decent top than I wore to the Parks.
The steak was delicious and all the accompanients and my dessert was delicious (have gone a complete blank as to what I had but now it was very yummy!! :D )
It wasn't cheap but I'd definitely go there again. You can see all the cuts of beef they cook on display and the kitchen is also 'open' to the restaurant so you can see the chefs at work.
HTH

Is the Mercado still there. I was there also last October all the shops were shut up and gone only about 4 restaurants left. Last I heard was the site will be redeveloped. Have been trying to find out where Molto's Ice cream parlor has relocated too. If anyone knows please let me know.

We went a few years ago and it was excellent. We went again last June and tbh we felt it was very over priced and quite pretentious. It was quite dressy (we felt we were underdressed anyway!). Steaks were very good but the ones you get at Manny's Chophouse (down the I27) were much superior and it had a much more relaxed atmosphere. Go there if you have the time, you won't be disappointed.

I believe it is still there. Walked through the village a few weeks ago in the evening. empty in the area (was raining) but it looked open and people in there (good sign). However, I walked from the supermarket north on I-drive next to the Mercardo (a number of shops and rests seperated by a car parj towards sand lake road) There was a steakhouse by the entance of I-drive, just by that had people waiting outside , just up from this supermarket. I can't remember the name, but people waiting said it was a top award place and the steaks were to die for. This place might be a better place, maybe someone else can give the name

We went last year, the service and the steak was amazing, however a meal for four adults and a child was $500:omg: We knew it was going to be pricey
but for my money I would have gone to Charlies instead, much more atmosphere and again one of the best steaks in the USA I think its in the top ten.

Never again. We waited over an hour for our main course. I wanted to leave but DH kept saying that it would be along in a minute. And they added service on to the bill!! I told him to deduct it but he got confused and actually ended up leaving them an extra tip:angry:
As I said, never again.
