Has anybody been to the Shogun Restaurant recently and does it still have a good reputation?

We are staying very close to this hotel and even though we have stayed at The Rodeway before we haven't tried the restaurant. Just wondering if it's worth a visit if we decide to go?

We ate there in 2005 and it was good....We had the combination dinner which was Shrimp, Steak and Chicken with rice and vegetables all cooked at your table...

Have gone for the last 3 years, including 2 weeks ago and it was as good as ever. They do an early bird special or you can get discount vouchers, but even at full price its a good evening meal. Chef cooks it in front of you (table for 8) and this is entertaining in it's own right. Good food and good entertainment. The rodeway inn bar next to it , also allows a nice pre or post drink in a nice bar atmosphere.

No, but on recommendation from several sites, we went to Kobe. It was fantastic and miles better than Teppanyaki in Epcot. It was one of our favourite meals while in Orlando and a restaurant we would love to go back to. The fact that quite a few Japanese people were eating there made us realise we had chosen a good one!

The Shogan is really nice. I went there last year (Virgin basically gave us a complimentary meal), and all I can say, it was really nice. The chefs are very entertaining whilst they cook your meal - even with strangers at your table.

I also tried the Kobe last year too and we didnt like it. My friend had a piece of metal in his meal and we werent even offered a discount! How bad is that!!
