My DBF wont let me plan the whole holiday (spoil sport), as to what we are doing each day.

We know we will be visting all parks but the only dates which are in place are DC 8-10 (Dads B'day), uni & IOA 12-13/10 with HHN 12-10 (booked RPR).

In relation to the rest of parks no dates are to be arranged before hand (under strict instructions although I normally work something out:spin: ;) ). So my question is how likely we would be able to book a fantasmic adr on the day or a couple of days notice. Also can you turn up to disney resorts in the hope of getting a reservation or would it be better to call in advance

Also I really fancy doing MNSSHP and wondered can you buy tickets on gate for this event and if we do go the likelyhood of getting a reservation in Crystal Palace.

Any advice appreciated

Tell your DBF that you won't plan what happens during the day, but if you want to get any meals anywhere especially nice in Disney then you're probably already too late. The whole Disney World restaurant system is in semi-meltdown at the moment according to some folks - due largely to the amount of people who are there on the free Dining Plan, and who are booking everything up in advance (to be fair, if the meals were free, wouldn't you in their shoes?)

it also means that those of us who are paying out of pocket need to step up our game to get a chance at decent dining opportunities.

Keep in mind you are there over columbus weekend which will make everywhere that bit busier, I have made sure I have reservations for over that weekend if nothing else, to be sure to get somewhere sit down.

Gate prices on the day for MNSSHP are slightly dearer than the advance prices, and you might be very lucky and have a pixie dust moment with CP, but if you really want to do this honey, I'd say book now whilst you still have a chance.

Let me know how you get on.
