Hi :wavey:
Does anyone know if the Jaws ride at Universal is open in November??
It was closed when DH and I went back in Nov 2000. My daughter (first timer) will be so upset:cry: if closed as she loves sharks and i've shown her some ride videos of it and now she can't wait.

Hi i found this on another site, its such a shame as its a really good ride we will be there at the end of October so we will miss it as well.
Universal Studios: Jaws has become a seasonal attraction. It will be open during 'peak seasons' only, including Easter break, summer break and Christmas/New Year break. However, after a huge public outcry at this signature ride being cut back, the open 'seasons' have been extended from February to after Easter and from early June to the beginning of September, plus Thanksgiving and the Christmas period
The other website needs to update as Jaws will be open through all of October. I haven't heard of any plans to close in November but will certainly let you know if any plans are announced.

It was closed last Oct but I'm hoping it will be open in Nov
Last year it went seasonal so that is why it was closed last October but that status was changed.
What websites are saying it will be closed?

Hi Gadget Anna works at USO so her info is usually pretty spot on and up to date, as said Jaws went seasonal for a time last year but after reconsidering Universal reversed this decision, perhaps the other websites have not updated their info from last year
Jaws will not only be open all of October but will also be open during Halloween horror Nights with some nice surprises. Like Highlander, I suspect that the websites you saw may have just kept the information up from last year without an update. The DisBoard is notorious for this.
There are no plans to close at all during October. Jaws does open later than some of the other rides. It usually opens at 10 or 11 AM in the non-peak season.

Hi:wave:
I for one might consider missing Universal if my fave beast is not swimming. I have bought extra toilet rolls especially for the occasion of meeting this monster once again. I also enjoyed BTTF and it would appear that it has met it's end. I think I will trouser the savings unless my grandaughter twists my arm. Feeling somewhat bereft at this moment.:(

Do you know something that we don't? Universal has made no announcements to close Jaws. Why would you think it wouldn't be open in November 2007? It's open now and it's Novemeber.

they actually announced that they were going to make it a 'seasonal' ride .. so basically they can close it as and when they feel like it

Hi:wave:
Got the Universal Tickets and I will certainly be seeking out "Yon Scaled Beasty". Sad that BTTF has gone, I know it took a bit of a hammering on here but I actually enjoyed it. It may be some form of fetish I have yet to work through:pgig: :pgig:
Just looking forward to a great time with the family at Disney and Universal + a few cold ones and some great grub:tounge:
Cheers:thumbs-up
Went on Jaws in the dark during HHN a few weeks back - It was spookier in the dark, much better. Didn't notice anything different about the ride or any 'twists'. Commentary was the same etc - maybe I missed something though, so any updates would be great.

They announced that over a year ago and promptly changed it back from seasonal to fulltime after it was shown how popular the ride was to guests visiting the park. There are no plans to close it at this time.
Glad that they are keeping it open, love this ride :D
