Yes, did the review ride in June. Not my type of ride really, bit like Magic Kingdom's Thunder Mountain on steroids. Interesting twist is that it goes backwards for a while and has a drop similiar to Splash Mountain, without the water. It doesn't compare with real thrill rides but fun for most people.

we did it last week and thought it was brilliant.
really great themeing and great ride.
the yeti is fantasticand the drop amazing.
we also loved that most of it is in the dark.
we both had very wobbly legs comeing of it.

A fantastic ride - definately one of the best that Disney has to offer. The theming is superb as you walk through the expidition offices, with the various artifacts on display, then when you get on the train - it is the smoothest climb through the mountain, really is very good. Closest thing to compare it to I think would be The Mummy at Universal - but far better IMHO.

mixed reactions to this ride, some say brill others not.

we did it last wed and whilst yes it was good it does not warrant a 45 min wait, if it were 5 then yes we would do it over and over as we do with many other rides...whilst it was good the first time....not overly keen, but it had to be done to get the free photo!

I think Disney have spoiled themselves with EE by making such a big deal out of it. If I hadn't had my hopes built up so much by all the publicity it was getting, I'm sure I would have thought it was great. As it turns out, the Mummy at US is much better, and I was really disappointed by it

Everest is an awesome structure, really dominates the park. The ride is fab, with brilliant themeing. You need to experience the standby queue to get the full effect of the imagineers work, the Fastpass line misses a lot of the details which make it so good. The ride itself is pretty short with one big drop and a lot of twists and turns, much of it is in the dark with the Yeti for company. You can get a brilliant view from the front as you come out of the mountain top.
It did have an awful lot of hype, but was worth the wait for me.

I have to agree. I was so excited about going on this reide because of the hype around it. The experoence didn't live up to the expectations. Although thats not to say that I didn't enjoy it, just that i was expecting more. The Mummy at Universal Studios is better, no doubt.

Carys -
If you did the Mummy fine then EE will be no biggy. It's worth a go just to see the details put into the queue line.

We were on it a cpl of weeks ago and it was fantastic, 5 minute wait and well worth it. My DD was terrified...but then wanted to go back on later lol but by that time the wait was about 20 minutes n I didnt want to wait that long. I'd deff recomend this ride to everyone.

Interesting. I wasnt going to do this as I don't like BIG rollercoasters and for some stupid reason I did Kraken last year! It was the wrost decision of my holiday and I was terrified. Now - I dont mind The mummy too much. If its nothing like Kraken and no worse than the Mummy I'll give it a go.

You should be ok. I don't do scary rides and I did EE and I was OK. Mind you, I did have my eyes shut a lot  and I didn't see the Yeti! I'll do anything for a free photo :omg:
