HI can anybody tell me if this is worth seeing? We have planned to go to seaworld on a Wed but i will consider changing this to one of the weekends if it is going to be worth it. I have read in A brits guide to Orlando that its at its busiest on weekends. Any help appreciated.

We always make sure we go at a weekend to see the spooktacular.
Lots of stuff going on. Kids get to trick and treat and loads of fun going on.

Spooktacular is SeaWorlds Halloween celebration, it is an all day event that takes place on weekend days throughout October including Halloween itself.
It is included with regualr park admission, no extra purchase is required.

The park is decorated with a pirate theme along with more traditional decorations throughout the park.
There are trick or treat candy stations which hand out free candy and toys, costume parades for the kids, and plenty of special Halloween themed shows and events throuought the park.
There also is a Halloween sleepover and Character breakfast which can be booked at an additional cost.

I would usually go to seaworld at a weekend anyway ..as even when it is busy it doesn't seem it and the only things that have lines are usually Kracken and Atlantis, but these will not be affected with kiddies filling the park trick or treating ;)
the only other place that can get lines is the simulator but only after a Shamu show kicks out :)
other parks don't take crowds as well as Seaworld

have to disagree with the last post - we never got into shamu stadium for the shamu show last year as it was full - I have never seen that at Seaword before - still really enjoyed our day at spooktacular - really enjoyed the nightime show

last year the park was open until 10 pm - I believe this year it has been changed to 8 PM so there may be no nightime shamu show

How early did you arrive for the show... I didn't say it wasn't busy .. just that it handles crowds well ..I go at least half an hour befor a show when it is 'busy' and have never had any trouble getting in :confused2 maybe you picked a 'popular' show time and I didn't.. I was there for spooktacular last year (not actually on the 31st but one of the weekends that had this event)

Friends of ours said it was alot busier at Spooktacular than week days. .So I guess you need to think do I want to do some small party games and trick or treat, or do I want to see all the shows etc. If its the shows I would go mid week, cos our friends didnt get in to see the show, and they arrived about 15 mins before. ( I did tell them to get there at least 30 mins before!)

As we have been to Sw twice before , IF we go we will go at the weekend, to do the party stuff ( as its free, its obviously nothing like the one at Disney) but still it should be fun. Real shame its not open till 10m. we are sure we will go as an 8pm finish, is a bit too early for us, as we wont get there till 5pm 6pm, so the day ticket price is expensive for just 2 hours.

I think it was Sat 8th Oct last year when we were there, and we were just almost at the stadium 30 minutes before the show was due to start when we heard the tannoy saying the stadium was full.

For the nightime show, we stood in line to get in from about 45 minutes before hand.

Our kids are not young, and I am now rethinking our plans for seaworld this year, the only thing I would really want to see is a nightime show, but with the 8 PM close not sure there will be one? I may change our seaworld visits to weekdays.

The activities for the young kid looked great last year, and my DW & DS enjoyed the candy!

Hi,

I just looked on the Sea World site and it says that the park closes at 6pm on the 31st. This is much earlier than the other Spooktaular dates. Does any one know if this date will be even busier than the weekend ones?

Thanks
Dee
