Hello dibbing peeps:wavey: . Although daughter of woman with numbers on head and i have been several times to Florida. This will be our first visit to parks of the Disney variety. We will be staying onsite and have the 14 day ultimate tickets, so will not be straying too far (except for a 4 night jaunt to Vegas). What i would like is info regarding the AK & MK parks and why we should not miss them. So come on folks what would we be missing out on if we bypassed them. Bear in mind we will not have children with us (done all that it's our time now:cool2: ). Feel free to dish out any other tips too all will be welcomed.

I thankyou

Steve:wave:

Me and DH have been twice without kids and we always do MK we like the rides (the 3 mountains especially) and philarmagic is great we always see it twice and the fireworks are excellent, as for AK we didnt like it although we will have to go this year as we are taking my 2 little cousins and we know they will like it.
It does have expedition everest this time though so thats a bonus

I would go to AK just to ride Everest. MK would be for the atmosphere.

AK for Everest definately! Plus the Lion King Show - absolutely superb. The theming through the lands is brilliant too. It also seems to be a more laid back park - don't go on EMH days though!

MK for Wishes. Definately - every time!

AK is not my favorite park, but I do like the atmosphere and the Lion King Show and Safari are not to be missed.

Magic Kingdom - well that's what Disney is all about, I could walk around all day just soaking it up - I absolutely couldn't go to Orlando and not go to Magic Kingdom.
As you have 14 day ultimate passes, then I would plan on going everywhere and just see how you feel, if someone doesn't appeal then move on, if you absolutely love it then stay longer

Hiya

Festival of the Lion King at AK is the best thing ever. Always makes me cry  Dinosaur and Tough to be a bug should also not be missed at AK.

MK gives you the real spirit of Disney. The atmosphere is fantastic and there is so much to experience no mater how old you are. Some of the rides are more for the younger kids but there is plenty to keep us big kids entertained. As others have said: the Three Mountains, Buzz Lightyear's Spaceranger thingy, the Parades - especially Spectro Magic and of course the fireworks all have to be experienced.

P.S. How are Rotherham doing this season? :D

If you are staying within Disney you cant miss the magic of MK - walking down Main Street USA sends tingles down my spine. AK must be visited purely for Everest - great ride. You can go during EMH if you wish but I would advise you do the morning EMHs as the parks are dead and we got all the big rides out of the way doing this.

Hi

AK for Safari, Lion King and safari and of course Beauty and the Beast.

MK - you could not possibly do Disney without soaking up the atmosphere of MK, seeing the train come in first thing, the castle, Philharmagic, etc, etc.

In my opinion that is

Steve - we only go as two adults and we must do both MK and AK (although AK is only ever a half day for us)
MK musts - Splash Mountain (pure Disney magic), Philharmagic, a burger and the fixings bar at Pecos Bills (near Splash) and a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle.

AK musts - The Festival of the Lion King Show - so good it makes me cry, Dinosaur and this year Expedition Everest hopefully.

they are both must do's I could never imagine going to Florida and not going to those 2 parks as they are my favourite.
MK is brill for wishes, spectromagic and the parades and MK is what dreams are made of and it takes you back to your childhood it is me and DH's fave park and we visit it every time

AK is also fab and the kilimanjaro safaris are not to be missed cos it is amazing and when u are on the safaris I feel that we are actually on a real safari and your mind forgets that u are still in AK. I also love its tough to be a bug and we loved the rides as well as the animals.

 Hi there!!!

Steve you have GOT to see Festival of the Lion King at AK, like many other people have said, this is one amazing show, and I too cried at this show, it is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is great, laid back and of course there is Everest!!

And being a complete Disney nut, MK is just Magic Kingdom, the creme de la creme of Disney magic, it's my fave by far for everything, rides, disney shopping, sarndwiches at Peco Bills, these are 2 parks I just would not miss!!

Magic Kingdom definitely has the magic and should not be missed and to round of the day by watching Wishes really makes the day fantastic.

Animal Kingdom was our least favourite park, we could take it or leave until this year, with the new Everest ride the park is now complete IMO, and is now a great day out.

For us AK is an absolute must do now. We could easily fit two days in there. It wasnt on our first trip though. On the other hand MK has never appealed but we did manage to have a lovely day (well, half day) there this time. I realise we are very much in the minority here but I think it is because I dont like large crowds and MK, and even on less busy days is still a very busy park.

I did not enjoy AK last year but I think it was because it was so crowded and spread out that you would walk through crowds to find more crowds! This year we went in late August and it was less crowded and it seemed more relaxed. We missed the Lion King show last year but went this year and agree it was amazing. If you go to the greetings trail first thing by Lion King show I think you can meet all the characters without having to wait ,we had them all to ourselves!

For a load of reasons why you should go to the AK take a look at my most recent trippy.

AK for Festival of the Lion King and Magic Kingdom purely for the magic - Main Street itself if wonderful and sends tingles down my spine.

We love MK and you must visit...if for no other reason but to say that you have been there and done that...and got your pic in front of the castle!

We would miss AK next time, however they have since opened up the mount everest ride. We will go just to see that but to be honest we could take or leave this park. It's not nearly as good as the others. x

We're not overly keen on AK, it's okay but I wouldn't rush to go back there again but if you love rides Everest is definately worth a try.

Even if you haven't got any children with you, you can't miss Magic Kingdom as it's what Disney is all about. It's the oldest park but we definately think it's the best. We love looking round Mickeys house, shooting aliens in the Buzz LightYear ride, flying around with Peter Pan and the fantastic Castle is beautiful especially at night-time when it changes colour.

I would always visit MK rather than AK any day.
