Hi Kim,
My daughter bought one in Walmart this year, yes the charger from the GBA works, it also comes with a universal in car charger. The games from the GBA also work on it, even ones bought over here. Games such as the new Brain Age is very cheap over there, most music shops seemed to have a good selection. As she bought it from Walmart on the first day we were there we didn't really notice other outlets.
Hope this helps, have a good christmas

The charger from the GBA DOES NOT fit the DS Lite ( it will fit the old normal DS though ).

My mistake I thought we were talking about the DS
Sorry
You can get a DS Lite with any game for £110 in the UK. You have to work out how much you think you will save. DS Lite in US $129 + tax and a new game $35 + tax = $175 ish = £95 ish + a uk charger so you will save about a tenner.

hi i keep forgetting about their tax - the bundles we have seen here have not offered any games he likes - he is only 6 - and i try to keep the games age appropriate - maybe soon lego star wars 2 may be offered unless i end up buying it next week at legoland for the GBA - i would only buy the pc one when it came out - it was £10 cheaper!! - he's happy
if you know anywhere offering great bundles let me know
many thanks

Some bundles will offer the choice of games.....walmart were doing one which was the DS lite, a game of your choice from a selection and a case....
Depending on what game the price incl tax at the current exchange rate worked out about £90-95 not a HUGE saving but a saving none the less.
As for the power lead could you not just cut off the US plug and put on a UK one.....I have done this with foreign power leads...which is essence will be the same as the UK lead but with a different plug on the end..!!!
If not a US to UK adaptor will do and they're a few quid if you have not already got one!

Don't think you can do this with the DS as the adapter is not multi voltage.
