Buing a suitcase

DBF wants to buy a nice suitcase when we are away like a samsonite one, do they work out alot cheaper and is it worth it?

We had an incident one year a while back when the Airline damaged my DW suitcase' and she was told to purchase a new one and keep the receipt and we found them to be more expensive than here.

That said we are talking about 10 years ago so things may of changed somewhat by now!

We 'had' to buy an additional case whilst we were away this year (only because we bought so much stuff :erm: ) we bought from the Disney store at the resort and price wise found it to be no cheaper than the UK. Whether the outlet stores would be cheaper, I'm sure someone else will know.

The Samsonite over there is no cheaper than in the end of the season sales over here. One good point about Samsonite is they last forever and if you do break any parts they replace them FOC.

Our cases must be approaching pension age but still look pretty good.

We always buy a very cheap non-branded bag from Walmart for around $15. The disney cases in resort are not cheap but they are quite cute.
