I should know this, it is not as if we haven't been before but trying to figure out the best/shortest way from Wildeness Lodge to the Grand Floridian, also from WL to the Poly?
We are staying at WL and need to get to both for ADR's on the DDP, the rest of our TS meals I have sorted:thumbs-up

I would say by boat across Bay Lake for both.

If it is while MK is open there is a boat that goes from WL to the contemporary, then get the monorail to the Poly or the GF, if you are driving it is much faster than the transportation as they are only 5 mons at most.

Personally I'd drive. Right out of Wilderness Lodge, go straight over at the traffic lights, and Grand Floridian is a short way along on your right (just after the TTC and the Poly). Oh, and don't forget to turn right soon after the Poly or you'll find yourself heading back out of WDW!

If you haven't got a car, get a boat to MK and then maybe a boat on over to GF too. Probably marginally quicker than using the monoral, as the GF is first stop by boat and it's the last stop by the monorail - but it very much depends upon which one departs from MK first, and the monorails are more frequent...

Driving would be fastest but if you prefer not to then take the boat to MK and then the resort launch to GF from there.

Good grief Steve - it would be quicker to swim, apart from arriving in a state:d: Shame we can't bob over on the water mice (or whatever they are now):(
Neither of us drink much, if at all but it would be a shame to drive and not have the choice - so looks like one of the above, ie boat and boat, boat and monorail or bus and monorail:confused2

What a great idea! Do they hire them out from Wilderness Lodge I wonder? I know they do from GF/Poly/Contemporary, but not spotted a hire place at WL. The only question then would be the cost of hiring one for the whole evening, and possibly the mooring charges! Hey, perhaps you could presuade them to do a one-way rental? LOL

They most certainly do hire them out from WL Andre - spent an hour on both previous stays whizzing around, out onto Seven Seas Lagoon and playing dodgems with the big ferry:omg: There is a little hut on a jetty, just past the volleyball court on the "beach"
Not so sure about navigation back at night after a couple of glasses of wine though:pgig:

What we did last year Sue was pay for a taxi one way either back to resort after meal or too the meal depending on what we had planned for evening,

the quickest way on Disney transport is defo the bus to TTC then monorail to GF aprox 30 mins or if driving about 10 mins

I would take a taxi. The costs is less than ten dollars and much easier. We are staying at WL in January - love it.

The boats from WL go to MK so you would then have to get off the boat and get on the monerail.Alternatively one of the boats from WL goes to the Contemporary and you could get on the monerail from there. The boat goes via Fort Wilderness so it always ( in my mind) seems to take ages.

For our ADR's at resorts we now factor in cabs as it is so much easier.
