A while ago I posted here trying to find toddler activities in central FLA that went beyond the big theme parks, something a bit more quirky.

I've done lots of research on this and have found these which may be of use to anyone. Note that my list is heavily biased around the Lakeland/Tampa area as that is where we're staying, not because I couldn't find anything in Orlando!

Explorations V: Children's Museum (Lakeland) with lots of hands-on fun.

Kid City in Tampa - children's museum with a twist

Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa

Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa - with lots of activities for kids

Imaginarium, hands on museum in Fort Myers

Sorry for the lack of URLs but I'm not allowed to post them. If anyone wants further info, contact me and I'll send you the URLs!

Hope it helps.

YES! THanks for that one... I think it was on my SIL's list (she lives in Lakeland and is compiling info for us) but thanks for reminding me. It looks fab!

Our DS(3) and DD(18 months) loved it. DS especially loved digging for the fossils.
