I've just has an email from virgin about this and it says it's great! "better than a shuttle launch" and "up close and personal" The day trip offers admission only into the park and the Transportation to the Center . Is it worth a visit? How "up close" do you get? does anybody know.?We did Kennedy Space Centre a few years ago and although hubby loved it, bought all the NASA gear (including space food) saw the eagle's nest etc..!We found it one of those "once you've been, you don't feel the need to go back, butif the launch is worth seeing I wouldn't mind (just don't want to waste any of our valuable 10 days!

Hi, when we were in Florida last year we went to see the Deep Impact launch which was from Cape Canavaral (the US Army Base a few miles away from Kennedy) as we were allowed back on our original ticket from a few days earlier. The launch was well worth seeing but being so far away we couldn't hear much except the countdown. If the launch is from Kennedy then I would say go for it, it would be great, but if not you might be a bit disappointed if you gave up a whole day.
Hope you enjoy!

The problem is Launches have a habit of being postponed. We went for a launch a few years back...was the sole reason we went to be honest and it was put back so we did not see it. We did get to see the Shuttle on the Launchpad and the tour was reasonably interesting but the launch would of been awesome.
I would say if the date is fairly FIRM then go for it.
for me i would not have to be asked twice
i would love to see a launch
