Has anybody done this and what did they think....

Have priced up at Harley Davidson Orlando and quite fancy a Vrod for a few days...
Bit different to the Triumph Daytona I ride at home..

Cheers,

Look at the prices at Clermont as well, last time we looked they were a lot less than Orlando and its only a 25 min journey out of orlando.

My Father in Law hired one from HD Daytona when we there back in September. HE absolutely loved it, it was the first thing he told anyone about when we got back!!
He hired a Fat boy for four hours and I think it was around $150 with the insurance but he thought it was well worth it and loved cruising up and down the front at Daytona.

There are loads of Harley dealers around but the two I use most are Harley Davidson of Clermont and Harley Davidson of Lakeland. Both charge about $150 a day for hire and you have a choice of what you want and both have web sites so you can have a look. You have to have a credit card for insurance purposes and you say you will pay first $2000 of any damage but if you have a accident and its not your fault you shouldnt pay. That is pretty standard with anything you hire. Harley owners from the UK also can get good deals if they have their HOG cards with them.:)

Thinking about hiring a Harley? Do it, don`t think about it, you will not regret it!!!!!!!! I hired a Heritage Softail Classic from the dealer opposite Old Town on the 192 for 24hrs for $135 inc insurance, helmet etc. (they always have deals on). Best thing I ever did, absolutely brilliant. Staff were very knowledgeable & friendly but they did advise booking if you required a specific model on a specific day.
The only thing to beat it over the whole holiday was watching the expressions of my 2 kids as they walked down Main Street towards the castle in Magic Kingdom. Go for it.
