This is now closed for good :( Going to be replaced with Simpsons or Fast & Furious.

Arrrr, we got to ride it for the last time in September, god I will miss it and the great film with the dummies.

My kids will really miss this ride and the very funny dummies video....then we will also not need to listen to "Butt Head" all holiday!

I had heard this was closing and rode it last week for the first time. Didn't know what to expect as a few bad reports on here regarding getting thrown about a bit, back pain and banging your head.
We did't really experience this and all enjoyed the ride. Yes the screen was a little dated compared with other rides but glad we did it before it closed

Wont get to ride it, Stuart said it was good but will be exciting to look forward to a new ride! Any ideas when the new ride will be up and running???

I'm not sure where you got this information but BTTF is still open and will most likely be open until the end of the month. I can guarantee it was open today. Yes, it will be replaced and, right now, only one half is operating as the other half has been dismantled, but it is up and running. It was scheduled to be closed on the 1st and then it was pushed back to a Oct.19th closing. Once again that date was pushed back and has been changed to indefinite. It will most likely be open another 2 weeks.

Well I'll be paying a farewell visit in, well, a couple of days... Really glad that it is still running...

ET?! No you can't get rid of that, update it maybe but not get rid of it.
Although in the cold light of day progress marches on and so should park rides to continue entertaining, especially since US attendance is down 8%.

We got to ride it for the last time last week, i thought it had closed in september, so had a nice surprise when it was still open last week, i will miss it as i loved that ride.

I loved Kongfrontation and BTTF. WWahtever next? Close Jaws? Oh no they tried taht as well.
It's a pity they don't add rides rather than replace them :(

We got to have an unexpected farewell ride last week, a CM there told us it would be open at least until the end of October. It's still a great attraction, shame it's going.

We go to Universal on the 5th so our fingers are crossed for a delay also

I have to say I wouldn't be as bothered if ET closed, but that's my biased opinion ;) The BTTF films were my childhood, total classics!

:wave: Just back Saturday - and were shocked after all the threads saying it would be closed october 1st! Thank god as me and DF are big fans of the movie and were so disapppointed to hear it was closing IT WAS OPEN!!! and other than the mummy it was the next biggest wait time on most days!! 45 minutes the day before we left - DF asked two members of universal staff about it and they said its all internet rumour - hmmmmm not too sure but so pleased it was open yes a little dated but its a classic!!

The date of closing maybe subject to rumour and speculation BUT the closing of the ride itself Cannot be internet rumour as they made an official announcement ages ago, obviously the date it will close has been put back a few times but my understanding is they have already started work and only half the ride is open....We go to Universal Nov 3rd so lets hope we get one last ride :)

I would just like to point out that the info came from a staff member when entering the queue for Jaws. He was telling everyone that it was the last day...so ride it before it goes. He was obviously a tad mistaken.

I have literally just returned from Universal and would just like to advise you all that Back to the Future is still very much open. It's an excellent ride and not to be missed!

Hi,
This doesn't make it confirmed, that site is just repeating rumors from the screamscape rumour site.
BTW, I was talking to Universal (UK) today and they confirmed that BTTF ride is still open with half the cars in operation.
