Two show times for Fantasmic?

Been reading the Park Planner and noticed that Fantasmic sometimes has two show times listed.

We're thinking of booking the Fantasmic Dinner Package, do we have to specify which show we want to goto? and which are busier the first (earlier approx 6-8pm) or the later (8-10.30pm)?

The first show is by far the busiest in my experience, this year when we were over we done the 2nd but this was mainly because we were doing EMHs and didnt go into the park until later.

The only thing we found with the 2nd showing was that quite a queue formed outside the area where the rope drop happens, people were queue there for about an hour before show started. A lot of pushing and shoving was happening as the CMs were trying to keep everyone queue on the right hand side so a walkway was left for people to get pased.

Once the rope dropped to let people into the 2nd showing there was more than enough seats at each showing i went to. So my advice would be to just hang about across at the food area, grab an ice cream and wait for the mass to start walking through the entrance and walk down to the arena and then join them once it dies down a bit. The queue forms at this show beause the first showing is on and people cant get down to take their seat ealry like they do in the first show.

As for the Fantasmic Dinner Package i only ever done it for the first showing on previous visits, i dont know if you can do it for the 2nd but i do see your show times are earlier than the ones i went to, the late show didnt start until 10pm when i was there. Either way you with the package you will get a seat.
