We have just bought tickets for an ice experience at the Gaylords Palms, hotel. Apparantly it is lots of xmas type ice sculpture, nativit,y snow etc plus ice slides and an ice rink. The web site states they loan you warm fleeces and skate hire included in price for an extra cost for those who are skating ...this has been taking place a few years I think.. has anyone else been to it.

Anyone know if universal are still doing their special power pass (bought on gate from customer services) it is annual pass for $106 (no holiday dates) we have bought it for the last few years and not advertised anywhere else but have not been out to universal this year to check if still being sold

Also as I am new to the site hello to everyone.. and thanks for help.

:wavey: Hi and welcome to the Dibb

We have also booked to go to Ice this year and from what I gather the Ice-Skating is a new thing for this year. We booked 3 skating tickets (for an extra $5 each) and 1 without. Included in the ticket price is the warm coats for all of us and the skate hire for the 3 of us that are doing it.

There are other Dibbers who have been to Ice in previous years and it seems to be worth a visit.

Hi

We did the Ice experience last year, thought it was very good. They loan you a huge duvet like coat in an awful shade of blue, everyone the same. They even take your photo in it.

The ice slides were good, we had a really enthusiastic guy at the top, who liked to push you that little bit harder, making you slide off the bottom.

You get a voucher for hot chocolate for afterwards, this is in the main atrium of the hotel, well worth a visit, as the hotel is spectacular.
