Sheraton World disapeared!!

Arrived Sandford airport, no small cars left so allocated a huge, very huge tank like chrysler which was lovely but very big. :( DH discovered he could not get sat nav [which he purchased and downloaded florida map before we went ] to work. Now dark and we were very tired. Drove to international drive and could not find hotel. We drove up and down several times, in desperation we drove in to where we thought it was, spoke to doorman who told us that it had been taken over a week earlier and they had changed the name the day before we arrived. Either TCD were not informed or they decided not to tell us.
A warning to anyone else who may be planning a visit there it is now the International Plaza and Spa.

How stressfull when you have just had a long flight. I know how it feels, we are always getting lost, but not being able to find your hotel must have been a bt of a nightmare. TCD must have had some comunication about name changes, just not passed it on to their customers. Anyway have a great holiday, and it is very good of you to pass on this info Annie :wave:

Yep its changed names, we are staying in this hotel shortly, and i wanted to phone them about something and i couldnt find it boy did i get a shock. Anyway i put it in trip advisor and it put it up under its new name so then it was easy to find. I was worried for a few moments thinking where has the Sheaton World gone !!
