Hello fellow Dibbers,
I desperately need your expertise! I have booked flights for 10th May for 2 weeks and 9 nights in the Crowne Plaza Universal. Then we want to see Miami, the Keys and the Everglades.
I know that we are going to stop in Miami en route to the Keys, we have a swim booked and Dolphin Plus @ Key Largo and also want to go to John Pennekamp State Park.
BUT I also really want to see Key West.
So, we have 5 nights left and want to see Miami, Key Largo, Key West and the Everglades.
Is this possible? What would be the best plan of action?
I hope that you can help me plan this 3rd holiday of a lifetime( lol!);)

We did a trip a couple of years back where we spent a week in Orlando (all we ever do:blush: ), then 9 nights down on Marco Island, from where we visited the Everglades and all around Naples, etc, then two more nights down in Islomorada in the Keys - perfect.

Miami is a very interesting area. Stay around the Biscayne Key area since it's the nearest over to the Keys.

Shout if you need any more info:)

We are doing the same next year 1 week in Islamorada - with day visit to Key West, day visit to John Pen.... DH wants to go fly fishing for bone fish on the flats, apparently Islamorada is the fishing capital of Florida::o: or so DH reliably informs me because thats all he watches on Sky. Then driving up Tamiami trail to Sanibel, through the Everglades, might have a stop over in Everglades City to go on the evening airboat ride into the glades. Sanibel for 1 week DH fishing for the red fish, they start there run up the Gulf coast in September, me collecting shells, heaven. final week Orlando Villa, shopping till I drop, DH fishing for big mouth bass, as you can see I have to plan our holiday around fishing points:rolleyes: :pgig: :pgig: :pgig: PS I hated Miami, we got lost in the wrong area once it was quite intimidating, so would never go back, but don't let me put you off.

Hey mrs i think this would be fine. We did a 2-centre trip in July?August this year, 3 weeks in WDW then a week in Miami. Miami was suppose to be a relaxing week after the 3 hectic (but wonderful) weeks in Disney but there was so much we wanted to do. We managed to have a shopping day, beach day, do a Miami tour - land and boat (highly reccomended if you get chance), a Bahama's Cruise, and visit the Keys and Everglades. For the Keys we left early and stopped in several places along the way, it took about 3 1/2 hrs to reach Key West but it was very worth it, espcially visiting the Southern Most Point (only 90miles from Cuba). You could do Key Largo and Key West together in 1 day if you wanted, but a lot of travelling. As far as the Everglades go we visited a lovely park about 1 1/2 from Miami (had visited there from WDW on a tour the year before), but there are parks more local to Miami - check out the Hard Rock Seminole Reserve (sounds wierd i know).
Anyways hope this helps, and have fun, Miami is brilliant.
