Hi,
Was just wondering if its worthwhile going to pleasure island. Are the clubs hassle free? Is the comedy club comedic? Anyone wish to share their witching hour experiences? Any advice appreciated:wave:

We don't do the clubs in PI but the Comedy Warehouse is hilarious. The show is quite short only about 50 minutes but it is soooo funny.

Try it. You'll like it :D

Yes there are no age restrictions advertised and I've seen children of about 10 in there before. The later shows tend to be a bit more risque but never obscene. I'd imagine 17 and 18 years olds will enjoy it.

The Adventurers Club is very entertaining and OK for kids if they appreciate that sort of humour.
My DD (16) hated it but DS (14) thought it was a hoot.

I have been in the Adventurers club .. though I was a tad unprepared and didn't get a guide :( we only saw two erm... 'shows' thought the mask room was highly entertaining but didn't really enjoy the 'maid' in the Library ... I will be going back this year to catch the other 'adventurers' but will get a guide this time so I can avoid the 'maid' LOL

we went with my nephew who was about 14 or 15 and we went in two clubs that had dancefloors (more your regular nightclubs) and the adventurers club .. we also went into the Jazz club (now I hate most Jazz) but loved this place .. shame it has gone now :(

when we went we got wristbands to wear that indicated if we were 21 and over or not .. but they id everyone no matter how old you look and dish out wristbands accordingly .. or they did when we visited

Loved the Adventurers Club - kungaloosh!!!!

Found the Comedy Club quite amusing, depends on the input from the audience.

The 80's disco was excellent, great tunes and a couple of beers, took me back - ahhhhhhh.

We went to PI in September 06, it cost approx $21 each for a ticket to gain entry into all the clubs. If you paid a bit more you could have a multi-night pass if you wanted to go back. The comedy club's quite like 'whos line is it anyway' in places and they rely on audience participation. All the clubs/bars have their own kinda music playing....if you go on a weekend it will be much busier, there were a lot of young Americans there when we went on a Friday night. The trick is to go earlyish get into your first club and get a wristband....they ask for photo ID (we showed our passports) then they stamp your hand, give you a wristband and let you in. This will enable you to 'fastpass' all the queues to all other clubs there which is great about 10pm when the queues are quite long! you just need to show the doormen your wristband and they let you in. They were quite strick on being over 21 for the clubs though! Im not sure if there was an age limit at the comedy club.

I thought Pleasure Island was a pleaurable way to spend an evening. I enjoyed the comedy club and it would definitely be suitable for children. It was clean, family humour, quite entertaining.
