We tried one in July and to be honest it could have put me off ice-cream for life:d:
CM said she had a young lad in a few days before us who finished one by himself in 15 minutes:omg: YUK
This was our attempt

My son got his exam results last year when we were in florida so as a surprise we took him here with my other son there was 4 of us and they were so embarrassed when our server was flashing the lights and telling everyone that a kitchen sink was on the way.
Their faces were a picture and guess what we had left our camera in the car
DOH!!!!!!!!
We just about managed to finish it but it was a task great fun though and well worth the money. None of us had any other ice cream for the rest of the holiday so I guess you could say it SAVED us money in the long run LOL
Would definitely go to the Beaches and Cream again LOVED IT.:wavey:

Do you usually need reservations at Beaches & Cream, we are hoping to have lunch there during our day at Epcot, I've heard it's an easy walk from the International Gateway exit? If reservations are necessary do you book it the same as an ADR ??

if i remember correctly they dont take ADRs at Beaches and Cream but sometimes you have to wait a whlie for a seat.
You also wouldnt need to order the KS when you made your ADR either.

try it at your peril, four of us all big eaters realy struggled to eat it all and like someone else said it puts you off icecream for the rest of the holiday - but on the other hand it is great fun and realy nice to eat, the cost was $21.99 in oct this year so as it feeds at least 4 its cheap as well

Heres my daughter after we managed to wade our through the kitchen sink a couple of weeks ago.
When the server bought it to us she started to ring a bell and the lights were flashing and said something about we have five little piggies who are going to attempt to eat it:blush: i felt really embarrassed but it was good fun.
Im not sure we would have it again but i definitely recommend everyone try's it at least once.

we had one in 2001, the children still remember. Between 5 of us (all good eaters) we no way near finished it. The children were mortified about the fuss and attention...they just made me promise we won't have it again at Christmas!!
Great value for 4-8+ people, you can always leave some if it's too much. There are quite a lot of bananas in there too and DD2 has a real hatred of bananas!!
