Having been reading through the posts on here, it appears that there are still not many decent shopping centres/malls around the disney area?
We were never very keen on the Beltz near wet and wild, which i gather is all but gone. So for reasonably decent shopping centres, I guess its Florida mall, the shops near dixie stampeed and the shops on the left going from Lake Buena Vista to Kissimee. Are there any other half decent shopping centres other than above? We hate going to the shopping centres/malls where most of the units are empty, its so depressing!
Also when we were last there in Nov 2004, they had just opened a super target and a marshalls store on the 192 just up from Lake buena vista (turn left at the traffic lights and they were on the left), I take it they are still there because I've not seen them mentioned (we quite like target not as manic as wal mart).
I'd stick with the Premium Outlet - plenty of choice and the bargains are great - much cheaper than the Malls when we were there in October 2005. Can't wait to get back there next October for another spending spree...

Try Mall of the Millennia. One of the biggest but the classiest mall of them all. No empty units last time we were there. Cheesecake Factory superb for meals. Junction 78 on the I4 - just past Universal.

Mall of Millennia is a great mall, but it also has all the "high class" shops in it too! Great if you like the expensive stuff!! Premium outlets is probably the best for bargains, Florida Mall probably the best one for choice.

The Mall at Millenia is our favourite, it`s fabulous there. The Cheesecake Factory does wonderful food and drink. The steak diane is gorgeous and they do a non-alcoholic drink called a peach smoothie which is nectar in a glass. The cheesecakes are seriously yummy and there are so many, you`ll be spoilt for choice!! You can check it out here www.thecheesecakefactory.com Two of my favourites shops in the mall are the Lindor chocolate shop and Tiffany`s!! ;-)

Many thanks for the replies. My wife is very keen to give millenia a try, and whilst we are there, it would be rude not to try the cheesecake factory.
I take it the millenia is fairly new because we didn't know it exsisted 2 years ago?

I like expensive stuff, just can't afford it :( Still, I have a list of what I'd like from Tiffany's just incase I win the lottery;)

I wouldn't recommend Festival Bay at all, half the units were empty when I went in July. Didn't impress me one little bit.

What about trying a bit further out? The Lakeland Square Mall, on SR90 exit 32 off I4, about 1/2 way to Tampa is a great place it's got all the usual stores - Gap, Old Navy, Sears, Macys, JC Penny, Victorias Secret, Disney Store etc, but it's so much quieter than the Florida Mall, as it's not full of tourists. We've found cheaper prices there than the outlet stores in Orlando!
Also one the big stores (sorry can't remember which one!) had a large selection of Crocs...all different styles..;)
