Hi new to this site. Booked my holiday to Florida for October 2007... Fabulous rate of exchange just now and was wondering if I would be cheaper buying disney and park tickets when I get there??
Will be myself and two kids (on a budget unfortunately) so looking for decent accommodation at reasonable rates suggestions would be welcomed..
Oh happy new year everybody (when it comes)

Most people here, buy them before they go. Particarly wise at the mo with the exchange rates as they are. I always thought we saved a few quid by buying over here, butI dont really think that is the case. Maybe a small amount, but not really much.
However, unless you have a crystal ball that shows the rates will be higher when you go, its probably wise to grab the rates right now. The UK suppliers are all $ rate dependant, so even though they show £s, if the dollar plummits, the £ price will rise accordingly.
As things stand, I certainly would recommend buying them now.
Im going in March and have paid £380 for 2 adult + 2 kids 10 day Disney (no hopping or water parks) and unlimited 7 day visit tickets to Seaworld and Busch Gardens for £190
Obviously the tickets YOU buy, will be dependant on your needs. ie how many days you want, more than one park per day (hoppers) etc. Last year, we bought water park and hopper tickets. Since we never visited 2 seperate parks in one day, for us, paying for this again this time, would be a waste of cash. However, everyone is different and visiting 4 parks in one day may be your thing!
Its also a good idea to keep your eyes on this forum as you may see some special deals from time to time. This time last year, Universal had a kids go free deal for a 5 consecutive day pass for $99 per adult. We used ours on 4 days, so for the 2 adults and 2 (free) kids, it worked out at only $50 between us per visit. (ie £25 for 4 at todays rates!!!!! A complete bagain!)
Have fun!!!

If you are thinking of Universal there is a great ticket out at the moment get an adult 3day ticket (2parks) £59 each and get a childs one free!! has to be used within a 7 day period though:grin:
see attraction tickets direct links on this website i think
I would miss out on one of the free child places this year as my eldest is 10 in February  and so I would have to pay for him to go to Universal instead of saving £59!
