We are arriving on the 2nd sept and I wondered if the malls/dept stores etc have any good sales on then? We usually go end of sept/oct and most of the sales are finished. Is it better in early sept?

Not sure about specific sales but I would recommend asking for a discount whenever you're in a store no matter how big or small and even if the item is already being discounted. There are some great bargains to be had if you are willing to ask.

I am always happy to do this although I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I have found that most stores are willing to lower advertised prices. I simply ask nicely if there is any further discount available.

Give it a go - bet you'll be suprised.

HI

I think Labour day is the 1st Sept (sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong) but I remember there being a labour day sale which seemed to last longer than one day :)

we flew in on labour day last year and went shopping a day after it and we didnt see any sales. but to be honest the prices are so low anyway!!
and allways join the clubs i.e. premium outlets and prime outlets and also get all the discount booklets you allways get 20% off nike and adidad and kenneth cole. when you go on the premium outlets or florida mall website you join the club and orint out loads discount vouchers and a voucher for a discount book when you get there.

Hi peter+lynn

Thats a good tip, I had forgotten about them! Just remembered about the card that you can get at Macys. Just pop along to customer services and pick up a special card for tourists, it saves you the sales tax (around 11%)

Ah shopping :)

Labor day is the 1st Thursday in September and I remember some stores have one day only sales.
